I always liked to study international newspapers, and used to go to their websites to view them. Some of them were indian websites like the left leaning outlook india, which had a liberal opinion but had the same opinion regarding Pakistan like other Indian newspapers. To highlight the negative part of the Pakistan and to use that to show how better India is from Pakistan in that specific area.
I first got to know about Amir Mir and his opinion through this article, it was just after the october earthquake in 2005, and Pakistan for a change was getting positive coverage for the public response and there was a sense of sheer patriotism amongst Pakistanis as well as journalists. This animal wrote something unusual it was'nt about criticism of Pak authorities response but the involvement of aid agencies, namely Al-Akhtar trust, Al-RAshid trust, which later on were targeted in the aftermath of 26/11 Mumbai attacks, he was actually trying to shape opinions of Indians against Pakistani organizations, view here:

When I discovered this ****** to be the brother of Hamid Mir. I realized that geo is supporting munafiqs who pose to be something else and have the rest of the family doing anti-religion, anti-state activities, apart from Hamid Mir like Aamir Liaquat brother, Imran Liaquat H. who has founded a new religion close to shiism based in Sehwan Sharif.
Amir Mir has been writing for the Indian outlook since 1990s, his initial writings and then post 2001, there is difference, his writings post-2001 were more targeting Islam, the religious organizations in Pakistan, and Pakistan's most important institutions like ISI and Pak military, one can browse his past writings here:

I thought this guy is an islamophobe and has some hatred against Pakistani military, but after studying his writings, one would realize he is a paid agent working on agendas of foreign countries' and their media houses. Having Hamid Mir as a brother also was used as a cover as his brother's friendly coverage of the islamic groups was actually ploy to hide this family's nefarious activities. He has mostly written for outlook and other foreign newspapers justifying US and Indian govt. responses against Pakistan.
This dumbo even had an opinion regarding religiosity in the Pakistani cricket team, how the tableeghi jamat infiltrated the Pakistani team which he got published in the Australian newspaper, labelled Pakistan trade pizzazz for piety:

After writing such venom against Pakistan, Islam, ISI, military, Nuclear program. This guy being made a deputy editor for The News INternational, is incredibly pathetic and dangerous. It casts a bad light on Shakil ur REhman cos he would've known his opinion as as well Amir Mir's anti-Pakistan works that are published outside Pakistan to justify Pakistan as a terrorist country.
