I agree. In rural areas i have heard people are kept illeterate by the land owners so that they can exploit them.

This is a well thought out over four decade long plan of the status quo, hence almost 0 development in the education sector since the late 70s and constant brainwashing in the media, you think the billions spent in advertising by them is for nothing, if even a "galli ka nalka" is installed it has 30 feet banners with their faces on it with slogans like Shukria XYZ et etc as if they spent the money from their own pockets.
