The person who started this thread lives in Germany , so he must know that now a days laws there are strict for the drinks which children also drink. Even if there is 0.1 alkohol in drinks people don't buy for their children. It maybe possible that before 1950s they may have added but not anymore. And Germany is the only country in europe making alkohol free red and white wine. There is also alkohol free cider.

Coke has no alcohol in it, says manufacturer
17 February 2011,
Coca-Cola has no alcohol in it, said the firm's manufacturer in Malaysia as it rubbished reports that the secret of the way it is prepared is out.

Coca-Cola Malaysia's public affairs and communications director Kadri Taib said alcohol was not an ingredient and no fermentation took place during the manufacture of the drink.

"The precise formulation of the drink is our company's most valuable trade secret.

"The ingredients and manufacturing process are rigorously regulated by government and health authorities in more than 200 countries, including Malaysia, which have consistently recognised the beverage as a non-alcoholic product," he said.

The clarification about alcohol is essential for the beverage manufacturer in the Muslim majority nation since Islam forbids it.

A weekly radio programme, This American Life, said it had discovered the formula from the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

The article featured a photograph of a notebook with a handwritten list of ingredients allegedly needed to make the famous drink.

Ingredients included lime juice, vanilla, caramel, various types of fruit-derived oils, nutmeg and alcohol. The programme claimed the notebook originally belonged to a friend of John Pemberton, the pharmacist who created Coca-Cola in 1886.

Kadri said "This American Life" had many times tried to crack the secret recipe but failed, New Straits Times reported Thursday.

Raaz Bhai, you asked for more Info:

Water 2.5 gal
Lime juice 2 pints 1 qrt

Alcohol 8oz

Fluid Extract of Coca:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theobroma_cacao
Theobroma cacao
also cacao tree and cocoa tree, is a small (48 m or 1526 ft tall) evergreen tree in the family Sterculiaceae (alternatively Malvaceae), native to the deep tropical region of the Americas. Its seeds are used to make cocoa powder and chocolate. There are two prominent competing hypotheses about the origins of the domestication of the originally wild Theobroma cacao tree. One is that wild examples were originally distributed from southeasternMexico to the Amazon basin, with domestication taking place both in the Lacandon area of Mexico and in lowland South America. But recent studies ofTheobroma cacao genetics seem to show that the plant originated in the Amazon and was distributed by humans throughout Central America andMesoamerica.
The tree is today found growing wild in the low foothills of the Andes at elevations of around 200400 m (6501300 ft) in the Amazon and Orinoco riverbasins. It requires a humid climate with regular rainfall and good soil. It is an understory tree, growing best with some overhead shade. The leaves are alternate, entire, unlobed, 1040 cm (416 in) long and 520 cm (28 in) broad. Poisonous and inedible, they are filled with a creamy, milky liquid and taste spicy and unpleasant.

Coca
(Erythroxylum coca) is a plant in the family Erythroxylaceae, native to western South America. The plant plays a significant role in traditional Andean culture. Coca is best known throughout the world because of its alkaloids, which include cocaine, a powerful stimulant.
The plant resembles a blackthorn bush, and grows to a height of 23 m (710 ft). The branches are straight, and the leaves, which have a green tint, are thin, opaque, oval, and taper at the extremities. A marked characteristic of the leaf is an areolated portion bounded by two longitudinal curved lines, one line on each side of the midrib, and more conspicuous on the under face of the leaf.
The flowers are small, and disposed in little clusters on short stalks; the corolla is composed of five yellowish-white petals, the anthers are heart-shaped, and the pistilconsists of three carpels united to form a three-chambered ovary. The flowers mature into red berries.

Vanilla: For Flavoring.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanilla_extract
Vanilla extract
is a solution containing the flavor compound vanillin.[citation needed] Pure vanilla extract is made by macerating/percolating vanilla beans in a solution of ethyl alcohol and water. In the United States, in order for a vanilla extract to be called pure, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration requires that the solution contain a minimum of 35% alcohol and 13.35 ounces of vanilla bean per gallon.[1] Double and triple strength (till 20 fold) vanilla extracts are available.
Vanilla extract is the most common form of vanilla used today. Mexican, Tahitian, Indonesian, and Bourbon vanilla are the main varieties. Bourbon vanilla is named for the period when the island of Runion was ruled by the Bourbon kings of France; it does not contain Bourbon whiskey.
Natural vanilla flavoring is derived from real vanilla beans with little to no alcohol. The maximum amount that is usually found is only 2%-3%. Imitation vanilla extract is usually made by soaking alcohol into wood, which contains vanillin. Vanillin is chemically treated to mimic the taste of vanilla.

Lemon Oil: Lemons were the primary commercial source of citric acid prior to the development of fermentation-based processes.
Lemon juice is also used as a short-term preservative on certain foods that tend to oxidize and turn brown after being sliced, such as apples, bananas and avocados, where its acid denatures the enzymes which cause browning and degradation. Lemon juice and rind are used to make marmalade and lemon liqueur.

Lemon liqueur is easy and inexpensive to produce, requiring only sugar, water, lemon zest, liquor, and time to mature. Lemon zest is soaked in high proof neutral spirits to extract from it the lemon oil (an essential oil). The extraction is then diluted with simple syrup. Homemade lemon liqueur often has a stronger, more pronounced lemon flavor than brands sold in stores.[citation needed]

Orange Oil:

Orange oil
is an essential oil produced by glands inside the rind of an orange fruit. It is extracted or steam distilled as a by-product of orange juice production. It is composed of mostly (greater than 90%) d-limonene,[1] and is therefore often used in place of pure d-limonene, which can be further extracted from the oil by distillation.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_oil

Nutmeg Oil: The essential oil is obtained by the steam distillation of ground nutmeg and is used heavily in the perfumery and pharmaceutical industries. The oil is colorless or light yellow and smells and tastes of nutmeg. It contains numerous components of interest to the oleochemical industry, and is used as a natural food flavouring in baked goods, syrups (e.g. Coca Cola), beverages, sweets etc. It replaces ground nutmeg as it leaves no particles in the food. The essential oil is also used in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries for instance in tooth paste and as a major ingredient in some cough syrups. In traditional medicine nutmeg and nutmeg oil were used for illnesses related to the nervous and digestive systems[citation needed]. Myristicin in the essential oil is probably the agent responsible for the hallucinogenic properties of nutmeg oil.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutmeg_oil

Coriander: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coriander

Neroli: Neroli oil is plant oil produced from the blossom of the bitter orange tree (Citrus aurantium var. amara or Bigaradia). It is similar in scent to bergamot.
The blossoms are gathered, usually by hand, in late April to early May. The oil is produced by water distillation, as the blossom is too fragile to endure steam distillation.
It is one of the most widely used floral oils in perfumery. It is a nontoxic, nonirritant, nonsensitizing, nonphototoxic substance. More than 12% of all modern quality perfumes use neroli as their principal ingredient. It blends well with any citrus oil, various floral absolutes, and most of the synthetic components available on the market. Neroli oil is a classic element in fragrance design and one of the most commonly used in the industry. It is also used in flavors (alimentary) where it has a limited use. Neroli oil is also one of the key flavoring ingredients of some cola beverage recipes.[1][unreliable source?]
Neroli oil is reportedly one of the ingredients in the closely-guarded secret recipe for the Coca-Cola soft drink.[2] The Coca-Cola Company denies that the secret formula has been revealed.[3]
As an essential oil used in aromatherapy and massage, neroli is considered to have a soothing effect on the nervous system.[4][unreliable source?] Traditionally, neroli oil was used not only to relieve tension andanxiety, but also to increase circulation. A solution is made by adding three or four drops of the essential oil to one cup of either sweet almond oil or wheat germ oil. If the solution is to be used on children or pregnant women, only half the quantity of essential oil should be used.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neroli

Cinnamon: Cinnamon (pronounced /ˈsɪnəmən/ SIN-ə-mən) is a spice obtained from the inner bark of several trees from the genus Cinnamomum that can be used in both sweet and savoury foods. Cinnamon trees are native to South East Asia, and its origin was mysterious in Europe until the sixteenth century.

Its flavor is due to an aromatic essential oil that makes up 0.5% to 1% of its composition. This oil is prepared by roughly pounding the bark, macerating it in seawater, and then quickly distilling the whole. It is of a golden-yellow color, with the characteristic odor of cinnamon and a very hot aromatic taste. The pungent taste and scent come from cinnamic aldehyde or cinnamaldehyde (about 60 % of the bark oil) and, by the absorption of oxygen as it ages, it darkens in color and develops resinous compounds. Other chemical components of the essential oil include ethyl cinnamate, eugenol (found mostly in the leaves), beta-caryophyllene, linalool, and methyl chavicol[citation needed].
