Burhan Wani jo bhi tha usko maara jehadism ne, on the other hand bhagat singh was not influenced by religion but by patriotism. All muslims agree that nationalism or patriotism has no place in Islam. Period.

This is false, there is patriotism and nationalism in Islam, it only says that there should be no descrimination between people in general and muslims more specifically because of their caste and race etc.

Funny how you switch things back for your convenience . Is bhagat singh your hero or not ? Burhan Wani become a voice of those who want to decide their own destiny. He has become a symbol of fight against Indian state terrorism. He is a hero of Kashmiri people. And will remain in their hearts forever. His sacrifice is the ultimate sacrifice for the independent of his people. Guns won't stop them. Never did and never will.

You are the first person whom i have heard saying so. The purist view of jehad means holy war and anybody who dies in a religious war or in the defense of religion is a martyr. So the motivation is always religion not nationalism. Like even burhan's father said he died for jehad which is a religious concept. I don't think there is any concept of freedom fighter in jehadism, because that is a nationalistic concept. Jehadism prempts victory by force so it never has any concept of losers.

Wow! you are interpreting the concept of purist and populist concepts of Jihad on the fly as you go :)

There is no purist interpretation or implementation of Jihad in today's world because there is no central authority granting that certification to a "struggle."
Jihad is a loosely used term for struggle against injustice for your rights.
You'd hear things like "Jihad against poverty" or "Jihad against illiteracy" or "Jihad against tyranny."
Jihad is any struggle to right a wrong.
We tend to call everyone a martyr. In the strictest sense its up to Allah to decide who is a martyr. In a way, in Islan, if you
you are trying to right a wrong as prescribed by the teachings of Allah and if you die you are correct to think or assume that the person died as a martyr.
You can extrapolate this concept to a situation that applies on a very smaller scale to a situation on a very large scale.
What gives it more credence is that if there is a feeling that a larger muslim population is oppressed or feels that that its rights are usurped by largely a non-muslim oppressor then this question is made very easy for people.

I can only laugh out loud on this concept of yours..... if you are a muslim then I recommend you to ponder a little more on concepts and if you are not then you must not accept anything as it is coming from media as most of the times it is a biased.
Someone can say anything but that wont make it the final word, may be they have their own interpretations but the word literally means to try hard for something and not just war and fighting with arms.

that is why they killed kashmiri hindus and sikhs , forced them to leave valley .
pakistan is funding them by collecting money in the name of jehad .
pakistan wants to create kashmir like situation in whole india , but hindus of india are not ready to kill muslims or expel them out of india .

why u stupid people call bhagat sing shaheed, shahadat is purely islamic concept. n b killed for religion is greater than dying for country. a person trying to save his religion and his fellows is far more patriotic than a person fighting for only land.

Thank You Thank You, you nailed it, this is precisely what i have been saying.
A jehadi becomes a martry but never a freedom fighter so Bhagat singh is rightly called a freedom fighter and burhan wani is not a freedom fighter because he died for religion.

So what, he wrote his opinion and I wrote mine..... Now it is upto you what you want to believe. So I can provide many interpretations of all the religions..... The thing is to weigh which one seems more logical...

So you think it is open to interpretation? There is hope for you yet. The fact is there is a big loophole available here and i just exposed it. The populist view will be closer to his though, especially in a country with a large following for JI.
