No One in our country has ever received a capital punishment due to blasphemy law. It is not easy for any government of Pakistan to punish an accused due to international pressure.
Our current PM is highly sensitive to international pressure. He would never allow his government to carry out death punishment on an accused.

Why does such a case take 6 years to decide? Decide it in 30 days.....and dispose it off.....in addition to that why are these under trial people held in confinement? set them free during the case proseedings.... the principle worldwide is PRESUMED INNOCENT until proven guilty....then why are they made to languish in jail if they are Presumed innocent? Not really. Hindus have been worshipping animals for over 5000 years. Islam arrived only 14,00 years ago.

It is very difficult to carry out death penalty on such people.
After 5 to 10 years the witnesses start to dissappear. It is very difficult to prove beyond reasonable doubt after 10 years or so.

Removal of blasphemy law wouldn't help much. Salaman Taseer wasn't killed due to Blasphemy law. It is the fanaticism in people's thinking. All politicians are guilty here. Imran Khan was about to hire world renowned economist to help Pakistan's economy. Later he found out that the economic expert believes on one extra prophet than us. That was enough for Imran Khan to reject his appointment. Our PM is an Oxford graduate even he bows and kissed the floor in deep awe in front of a grave . Then why do you expect for an uneducated Pakistani to be sensible when following a religion ?

ہا ہا ہا !آپ نے اتنی جلدی ہار مان لی۔ آپ کا اصل اعتراض تھا کہ صرف ہونٹ ہلانے سے کسی کو کیونکر سزا ہو سکتی ہے۔اور میری پہلی ہی مثال میں اپ ڈھیر ہو گئے۔
یاد رہے کہ ڈروں حملوں(جن کے اپ حمایتی ہو) اور ان سزائوں میں بنیادی فرق موجود ہے۔
ہزاروں ڈروں حملے ہو چکے ہیں، اور لا تعداد لوگ شہید ہو چکے ہیں، جبکہ ان قوانین کے تحت ایک بھی موت نہیں ہوئی۔
اسی طرح ان مقدمات میں کچھ نہ کچھ قانون تقاضے پورے کئے جاتے ہیں، ٹرائل ہوتا ہے، اور صرف اسی شخص کو سزا ملتی ہے، جس پر جھوٹا سچا الزم ہو، جبکہ ڈرون حملے کی صرف خبر آتی ہے کہ فلاں جگہ حملہ ہوا ہے، اور اس میں اتنے دہشت گرد مارے گئے ہیں، چاہے ان دہشت گردوں میں شیر خوار بچے اور بوڑھے کیوں نہ ہو۔ اس پر طرہ یہ کہ اپ جیسے نام نہاد انسانی حقوق کے علم بردار ڈرون حملوں کے تو حمایتی ہیں، مگر ان سزائوں کے مخالف ہیں۔​
