UAE gave it to US in musharraf era .. that is not allowed without government approval

whst hidden in this.. musharraf accepted this many tiems shamsi airbase was given for reconnaissance and logistic purpose.. thats what ahmed mukhtar also said as part of the agreement no attack willl be done from pakistan..... neitehr military has said any thing that shamsi was used for attacks... so its a known fct shamsi was given to US . but the UAE lease thing is why Pakistan cannot force US off unless UAE agrees or pakistan cancels their lease....

There are too many holes in Najam's analysis.

Can Pakistan leave everything to Americans? Americans dont give a damn about Pakistan, Pakistan has to save guard it own interests.

Why do we think Pak Army commandars are idots. Its them who will be fighting US if their gamble goes wrong and its there men who are dying. Its easy to sit in US and blame Pak Army but its very difficult to be in the shoes of Kiyani.

Sethi was more sensible in the end. I agree that Pakistan should analyse what ill will Pakistan loose. But Pakistan has to calculate how much it will loose siding with US and how much it will loose opposing US.

We have to have our own house in order before we can point fingers at anybody else. Why is America not attacking Turkey or Iran? People need to get out of this conspiracy theory mode. The strategic realities are there but only way to counter American policies is to vote for a political party who can economically uplift Pakistan to be able to stand up to American and their imperial policies. Right now Pakistan Army leadership or Pakistani civilian leadership is as much to blame for this incident as Americans.

I do not know about Iran, but I agree with your opinion about Turkey.
