COMMENTS: I wanna quote this para again
Import bill of milk products was up by 17.84 per cent, dry fruits and nuts 7.05, import of tea decreased by 32.01 per cent, import of spices decreased by 33.42 per cent, soyabean oils imports enhanced by 38 per cent, palm oil import decreased by 16.62 per cent, sugar import declined by 80.84 per cent, import of pulses went down by 9.11 per cent and import of all other food items decreased by 15.22 per cent

So basically here is what increased in imports too
1. Imported Milk
2. Soyabean oil
3. Dry fruits and Nuts

And the decrease was in
1. Tea
2. Spices
3. Palm Oil
4. Sugar
5. Pulses

Isnt that kinda ironic that the basic necessities dropped and relative non-basic items were imported? Saddens me to see see thing. I know few folks who run charity orgs in Pakistan and sometimes i hear the stories from them, I cant eat food after that. May the Creator of Mankind protect the weak from humankind.

Nah dear yah have to look it with other perspective. For e.g Palm oil (CpO) prices r way high in international market during summers and in winters they r used to drop by 20-25%. Most of importers used to import & store CPO in bulk during Jan-Feb and stock them in warehouses.

Dry fruits and nuts were n higher side because of winter.
