What about the harassment and mental agony the whole community is going through and will go through all this while till the case is 'supposedly' dismissed as you claim?
What about the shame this incident is going to bring for Pakistan all over the world? This incident has been headline news in almost all countries worldwide!
Do you think remember the case of the girl who misspelled a few words in an essay and was accused of blasphemy? Her whole family had to relocate from Islamabad even after the case was dismissed!
How is all this okay?

Why it all happened, our Media has overplayed it(cuz the $ button is pressed somewhere in the US for its activation), If media let the court deiced the matter, it would never bring harassment, bring shame or their need for relocation would arise.

Our media creates such a hype due to its hunt for green backs that the whole society is taken into a witch hunt frenzy. The anchors screaming, the Mullas giving fatwas, the NGOs with procession in support & Jumat Islami and kind with processions against, then the US gives a statement, the accused family boards a plain and leaves for US, the Media gets paid, the NGOs justify its existence to the donors, and we are left cursing the US & its policies.

Nothing is gona happen to that gal, even if the court decide against her (which I am sure they wont), they will get a heroes welcome in the US.

for God sake dont act the way the Media is acting, you are social media, you dont get paid while u waste your money and time to post here, u r superior both in your mental capabilities and on moral grounds then the sold out media.

What you are saying is that the media is only reporting the case to malign Pakistan.

Then why do you deride the media when they dont report the case of Burmese Muslims? Why do you consider it to be an "obligation" of the media to report the abuse of Muslims all over the word?

Im not saying the media shouldnt do it but when you push for the media to report something what is the purpose?

The purpose is to highlight the atrocity so that opinion and support can be generated to look into the abuses and to push for action against the perpetrators.

Now when an 11 yr old girl is getting accused of blasphemy, her whole family is living under threat, the whole community is forced to flee from their homes even before the case is brought to courts, the purpose of reporting this is to publicize the problems associated with the way this law is practiced and misused so that hopefully public support can be gathered to ask for some sort of amendment to stop such baseless accusations which only cause agony for the accused and a bad name for the country. These laws are used less to suppress blasphemy and more to harass people for ulterior motives.

If no one speaks of these cases then how do you expect to stop the misuse of this law?

The media reported that a crazy man was burnt alive for blasphemy. If they hadnt no one would have registered a case against people for doing that. It wont really matter because who is going to pursue the case but atleast someone registered the case after it got reported!

As far as 900 peopel evacuation is concerned, check it, Malik Riaz must be involved, and their is a possibility that the whole scenario is his doing for the evacuation, its his history and track record

Why is there a need for 'protective custody' when she is only accused?
Are you saying our society is such cannibalistic that it will tear the girl limb from limb if the police dont take her into 'protective custody'?
Where is the justice in putting a girl behind bars for only an 'accusation' ?
Do you think it is okay to arrest an accuse Muslim in the West in the name of protective custody if he has been accused of terror plots?

Yes she hasnt been handed to a lynch mob rather she has been arrested and is in jail. Im guessing it isnt an air conditioned jail like the one for politicians so she is probably very uncomfortable and under a lot of stress because she is 11 years old and mentally challenged.
Since a case has been registered and sent to court, she will have to stay in jail till the case is finalized. That to you seems a fair deal.
Are you saying an 11 year old should stay in jail till she can provide proof of her innocence?
I thought the law said the burden of proof lies on the accuser!
Why isnt she at home instead of in jail? Is she guilty till proven innocent?
