Imran Khan has been convicted for corruption and corrupt practices.

The case involving £190 million is pretty simple. Malik Riaz's funds were protected, and in exchange, Imran Khan's family received huge amount of lands in two different cities.

Let me break it down for youthees:

There are two cases:

1. In Bahria Town Karachi case, the Supreme Court slapped Malik Riaz with a fine of 460 billion rupees.

2. The NCA reached a settlement with Malik Riaz, with the funds intended to be deposited into the national treasury of the Pakistan government.

However, the PTI government redirect the money coming from the UK to the Supreme Court as part of the Bahria Town fine.

Soon after, Imran Khan set up the Al Qadir Trust.

Additionally, Bushra Imran signed an agreement with Bahria Town, which also included future funding from Malik Riaz to Al Qadir University.

This really is a clear-cut case.

The shady deal

But in this instance, the state of Pakistan itself chose not to be the beneficiary. Instead, the PTI government at the time, despite its self-righteous claims about holding the corrupt to account and bringing back ill-gotten gains from abroad, allowed the individual from whom the money had been forfeited to benefit from its return. When £140m of the forfeited amount was repatriated to Pakistan, it was put towards Mr Riaz’s pending land settlement dues totalling Rs460bn in the country.

Kiya saabit nahi hua sab kuch tu sabit hai...

Following registration of the deed of Trust, Bahria Town purchased 458 kanals of land in Sohawa, Jhelum & transferred the land in the name of Zulfi B. As per the stamp paper the value of the land was fixed at Rs 243 million. On Jan 22, 2021, Zulfi B transferred the land in the name of the Trust. On March 24, 2021, the donation of the 458 kanals of land by Bahria Town was acknowledged through an agreement signed between Bushra Bibi and Bahria Town at Imran Khan’s residence,”.

“As per signed agreement Bahria Town said it would pay for all expenses for setting up and running the planner Al Qadir University & will contribute funds to the Trust. From Jan-Dec 2021 the Trust got donations of Rs 180 million,”

Even if I accept your narrative, then where is the corruption? Did Imran Khan or Bushra take a single rupee from the account?
