شمالی افغانستان کے قومی مزاحمتی محاذ کے رہنما احمد مسعود کا کہنا ہے کہ طالبان نے پنجشیر وادی پر قبضے کی کوشش کی تو انہیں مزاحمت کا سامنا کرنا پڑے گا۔

عرب میڈیا کو دیے گئے انٹرویو میں احمد مسعود نے کہا کہ پنجشیر طالبان کے حوالے نہیں کیا جائے گا، اگر طالبان نے قبضے کی کوشش کی تو مزاحمتی جنگجو لڑنے کے لیے تیار ہیں۔
احمد مسعود نے کہا کہ ہم نے سویت یونین کا مقابلہ کیا اور طالبان کا مقابلہ کرنے کی بھی صلاحیت رکھتے ہیں، اگر طالبان مذاکرات سے انکار کرتے ہیں تو جنگ ناگزیر ہوگی۔

عرب میڈیا کا کہنا ہے کہ طالبان نے احمد مسعود کو پنجشیر وادی حوالے کرنے کے لیے چار گھنٹےکی مہلت دی ہے، افغانستان کے نائب صدر امر اللّٰہ صالح پنجشیر ہی میں

Seems Hamdullah will be hanged who maybe the main culprit behind this.
Hamdullah was responsible for hundreds of violent deaths and torture. Hamdullah, a longtime CIA recruit, was main Afghan person in 1 NDS Unit, which is responsible for war crimes, and then he led NDS.
Although Talban have given amnesty to Khost brigade and its commanders which were also responsible of extreme torture, thousands of death, war crimes and kidnapping of talban families, but it seems Hamdulla will not be spared after this episode is over.

History teaches us that after getting rid of Russia, both of them never aligned together for the better of people of Afghanistan. Instead both of them were greedy and wanted an upper hand by aligning with anyone who gave them money.

Perhaps the reason he was the greatest ever produced, that after he was trained in Peshawar Pakistan by ZA Bhutto, he was recruited by CIA. His was the only group during fight against USSR which was directly managed, supplied and funded by CIA - the rest were handled by Pakistan or one group by Iran. Consequently western journalist were frequent guests in Panjsher valley and all romantic literature produced about war in West/USA was about him - This direct access had led to some romantic articles and books (Cookie Roberts style with song nights and cooking). Some western journalist were embedded during his Guerrillas campaign.
His later antics, once USSR left, were perhaps more about conflicts in terms of ethnic war, ex-communist soldiers, dostum's affiliation, combined KGB+CIA funding and Uzbek supplies. His was the only available warring group to great powers, unlike others in connections with Asian minnows.
He was a great worrier, but how he became "the greatest ever, and legendary and mythical" maybe has more to it.
