پاکستان میں عام انتخابات کے لیے تیاریاں زورشور سے جاری ہیں اور کہا جا رہا ہے کہ ملک کی نوجوان نسل ان انتخابات میں کلیدی کردار ادا کرے گی۔
تاہم برٹش کونسل کے ایک سروے میں کہا گیا ہے کہ ملک کے بیشتر نوجوانوں کے خیال میں جمہوریت پاکستان کے لیے درست نظامِ حکومت نہیں۔
اس جائزے کے دوران اٹھارہ سے انتیس سال کی عمر کے پانچ ہزار نوجوانوں سے معلومات حاصل کی گئیں اور ان میں سے 90 فیصد سے زائد نوجوانوں کا کہنا تھا کہ ملک صحیح سمت میں نہیں جا رہا۔
بی بی سی کی نامہ نگار اورلا گیورین کے مطابق یہ جائزہ ایک قنوطی نسل کی تصویر کشی کرتا ہے جو پانچ سالہ جمہوری دور سے ذرا بھی خوش نہیں۔
سروے کے مطابق نصف سے زیادہ نوجوانوں نے کہا کہ جمہوریت ان کے اور ملک کے لیے اچھی نہیں رہی ہے۔
94 فیصد نوجوانوں کا یہ بھی کہنا تھا کہ پاکستان غلط سمت میں جا رہا ہے۔ دو ہزار سات میں کیے گئے سروے میں یہ شرح 50 فیصد تھی۔
بہترین سیاسی نظام کے بارے میں پوچھے جانے پر سب سے زیادہ افراد نے شرعی نظام کے حق میں ووٹ دیا جبکہ فوجی نظام دوسرے اور جمہوریت تیسرے درجے پر رہی۔
سروے میں شامل 70 فیصد نوجوانوں کو پاکستان کی فوج پر زیادہ اعتماد تھا اور جمہوری حکومت کے حق میں بولنے والوں کی تعداد صرف 13 فیصد رہی۔
پچیس فیصد نوجوانوں کا یہ بھی کہنا تھا کہ وہ ملک میں جاری تشدد سے براہِ راست متاثر ہوئے ہیں یا وہ کسی نہ کسی پرتشدد واقعے کے عینی شاہد رہے ہیں اور پاکستان کے قبائلی علاقوں میں یہ شرح 60 فیصد رہی۔
لیکن ان نوجوانوں کے لیے زیادہ قابلِ فکر کی بات مہنگائی اور بڑھتی قیمتیں تھیں نہ کہ دہشت گردی اور تقریباً 70 فیصد نے اس معاملے میں صورتحال کو پانچ برس قبل سے بدتر قرار دیا۔
مئی میں ہونے والے عام انتخابات میں ملک کی تیس برس سے کم عمر کی آبادی کا کردار اہم مانا جا رہا ہے جو کہ رجسٹرڈ ووٹروں کا تقریباً ایک تہائی ہیں لیکن سروے میں شامل نوجوانوں میں سے 50 فیصد سے بھی کم نے کہا کہ وہ لازمی طور پر ووٹ ڈالنے جائیں گے۔

The five years period of loot and plunder by constitutional oligarchy may have bled the country to near death but the irreparable loss it has caused is to none else but democracy. The kind of kleptocracy which flourished in the last five years in the name of democracy has robbed the real democracy the respect and faith it deserved. According to a survey commissioned by British Council, Pakistan's population of young people has rejected democracy. Instead, they have placed their faith in military and Sharia rule. They are not interested in the exercise of elections and, if the social media dominated by young educated class is any indication, the most popular trend on Twitter is #Vote4None. According to British Council survey, more than half of young voters surveyed do not think democracy has benefited them.
Government, parliament and political parties are all held in overwhelming contempt by Pakistanis aged 18-29, while the army and religious organizations are the two most popular institutions in the country. The survey of 5,271 young people is a sobering reminder of the challenges posed by Pakistan's peculiar demographics, where 46% of the population is aged between 15 and 29. This is the segment of society that all major political parties are trying to target through various means.
The survey found 94% thought the country was going in the wrong direction, with much of the blame laid at the door of the civilian institutions that have run the country since power was seized back from the army in 2008. It said 71% had an unfavorable opinion of the government, 67% of parliament and 69% viewed political parties unfavorably. By contrast, 77% of young people approve of the army, while 74% were favorable inclined towards religious organizations. Only 29% of young people believe democracy is the best political system for Pakistan. Military rule would be preferred by 32% and Sharia law by 38%.
The survey shows the primary youth concerns are economic, with people worrying about soaring inflation, a jobs crisis and poverty. Because fewer than half of young women are expecting to vote, the report branded housewives a "potential game-changer" if more of them could be inspired to take part in elections.

مگر جب سواب میں یہ شرعی نظام عدل نافذ ہو گیا تو عوام اسی کے خلاف ہو گئے اور پھر پوری قوم نے مجتمع ہو کر اس کے خلاف آپریشن کر ڈالا۔


یہی "تبدیلی" کی انسانی فطرت تھی جس کے تحت پورے صوبہ سرحد میں ایم ایم اے کو ووٹ دے کر کامیاب کروایا گیا۔ مگر ایم ایم اے کی حکومت نے صوبہ سرحد میں کوئی ترقیاتی کام نہیں کیا سوائے مسافر خانوں کے ساتھ مسجدیں بنانے کے۔ نتیجہ یہ نکلا کہ اگلے الیکشن میں انہیں کوئی ووٹ نہیں ملے۔


عوام کو شعور نہیں ہے، مگر آج کے دور میں کسی بھی ایسی "شرعی" نظام کا مطلب ہے "بادشاہت " (جیسی کہ سعودیہ میں نافذ ہے اور جسے اہلحدیث حضرات عین اسلامی شرعی نظام قرار دے رہے ہیں)، یا پھر طالبان طرز کی خلافت جو کہ افغانستان میں قائم ہوئی تھی۔

میری خواہش ہے کہ قوم ایک مرتبہ "صدارتی جمہوری نظام" کا بہت سنجیدگی سے مطالعہ کرے۔

Pakistani youth would prefer Islamic law or military rule over democracy, a British Council survey suggests.
More than half of 5,000 18-29 year-old Pakistanis polled said democracy had not been good for them or the country.
Furthermore, 94% said Pakistan was going in the wrong direction - a figure up from 50% in 2007.
Almost a third of registered voters in Pakistan are under 30 years old, and are expected to play a big part in a general election due in May.
When asked to pick the best political system, both Sharia and military rule were favoured over democracy.
The survey points towards a pessimistic generation, disenchanted with democracy after five years of civilian rule, says the BBC's Orla Guerin in Islamabad.
Most of those surveyed had more faith in the army than any other institution.
Approval ratings for the military were about 70% compared with just 13% for the government.
A quarter of respondents said they had been directly affected by violence, or had witnessed a serious violent event.
That figure rose to more than 60% in the tribal areas bordering Afghanistan.
The greatest concern for most was rising prices, not terrorism: Almost 70% said they were worse off now than five years ago.
While many young people are registered to vote, less than half of those surveyed said they were certain they would do so.

janab agar awaam mein itna shaor aa jaye to phir sharia law kiya kisi bhi law ki zaroorat baqi na rahe, adaaltien khatam ho jaien, police ki zaroorat na rahe. aur filhaal aisi ideal situation aap ko kahin nhi milay gi. lehaza choron ko chori, qatilon ko qatal etc se roknay ke liye aap ko law ki zaroorat hai aur hamesha rahe gi aur Shaiya law se barh kar koi qanoon ho hi nahi sakta jo ke Divine Law hai kyunke ALLAH ne insaano ko takhleek kiya hai aur WOHI janta hai ke insaano ke liya kya behtar hai.

this seems inaccurate and to create "fear" among seculars.that islami revolution etc is coming in Pakistan....if youth majority are so much in favor of real islam than why they don't vote for true muslims? also if you go school and collages these days you feel that people have become more distant to religion.most probably because of media which controls the Pakistani sheeples minds

if pti majority thinks like you than uss kaa allah hi hafiz...use some brain sometimes.humanity is ailing and acreaming throughout the world,not just in Pakistan.in west and America (where according to you sharia law is not needed) where social system is very just and society is relatively more just,their too humanity is screaming now...in united states in just one year 100 thousand kids etc went missing ,sold to sex trade...than in united states and Europe see the crime rate,rape and violence against women.....if you were a muslim and had studied quran etc than you had realized that without sharia implementation their is no chance at all that humanity can find any peace.no chance at all...anyway my sympathies with you ,as those people who are "mehroom" from light of islam,their future is very black,no doubt
