اسلام آبادپنجاب میں نئے صوبے کا نام بہاولپور جنوبی پنجاب تجویز کیا گیا ہے ،
صوبائی اسمبلی کی نشستیں 124 جب کہ قومی اسمبلی میں 59 ہوں گی کمیشن نے آئینی ترامیم کے لیے سفارشات کو حتمی شکل دے دی۔

ذرائع کے مطابق پنجاب میں نئے صوبے کے قیام کیلئے کمیشن نے آئینی ترامیم کا کام مکمل کرلیا گیا ہے،کمیشن کے ارکان نے پنجاب میں نئے صوبے کے قیام کے لیے آئینی ترامیم کی سفارشات کو حتمی شکل دے کر دستخط بھی کر دیئے ہیں۔

بھکر اور میانوالی کو نئے صوبے میں شامل کیا جائے گا،

صوبائی اسمبلی کی نشستیں 124 ہو ں گی جن میں 101 جنرل نشستیں جب کہ 23 خواتین اور اقلیتوں کے لیے مختص ہو ں گی۔
قومی اسمبلی میں نئے صوبے کی 59 نشستیں ہوں گی
جن میں 47 جنرل اور 12 خواتین اور اقلیتوں کے لیے مختص ہوں گی۔

صوبائی الیکشن کمیشن اور ہائیکورٹ کا قیام بھی عمل میں لایا جائے گا۔

کمیشن کے رکن جمشید دستی نے جیو نیوز کو بتایا کہ اب جنوبی پنجاب میں نیا صوبہ بنانے کے لیے بل کا مسودہ تیار کیا جارہا ہے ، کمیشن کی سفارشات وزارت قانون کو بھجوا دی گئی ہیں۔

نئے صوبے کا نام بہاولپور جنوبی پنجاب رکھنے پر اتفاق ہوا ہے اوراس کا دارالحکومت بہاولپور ہو گا، گورنر اور وزیراعلیٰ ایک ہی جگہ بیٹھیں گے، امید ہے مسلم لیگ ن نئے صوبے کی حمایت کرے گی۔

نئے صوبے میں 3 ڈویڑن بہاولپور ، ڈی جی خان ، ملتان جب کہ دو اضلاع بھکر اور میانوالی ہوں گے۔

کمیشن کی رپورٹ میں ایک اور نئے صوبے ہزارہ کے قیام کی تجویز بھی پیش کی جائے گی۔ [/TD]

we r going to find existance in "division" and western world has realized their existance in "unity"........hindu muslim division.....bangali paki division.....punjab division...sindh division...division after divisionis the solution of problems???? OR.....we wil hav to learn how to achieve the target of "co existance".......no tolerance for others.....leads to "division"....be civilized and learn "to liv and let liv"

I think that it is a good decision. Saraiki people should have got their right to self rule a long ago. However, I have apprehensions about the timing of this decision. Pakistan is going through very hard times due to terrorism and its economy is not working well. It is better to make such decisions when country is prospering and the cultural and economic ties between different ethnicities of a country are very strong

Great decision and great timing. I'm sure people of other areas of Punjab will follow suit and stand up for their rights and liberate themselves from Takht Lahore's tyrannical monopoly in a peaceful and constitutional manner.

Iss decision se TAKHT-E-LAHORE k chaploosoon ko takleef shurroo ho jaey gee...Very very good decision, people of South Punjab will never forget PPP's historic decision that has been taken to SALVAGE Seraikis from colonial rule of Lahore.

First of all this is a big DRAMA from PPP, everybody knows that this Province will not come in to existence in 2 months, if PPP were really sincere they should have made efforts atleast a couple of years ago, that would have made sense.
Secondly new provinces are a good thing but they should be de marked keeping in mind Administrative issues not Language or Ethnicity etc.

If we divide Pakistan on ethnic/linguistic lines, two more provinces are needed in Punjab, one is Jhang/Sargodha and other is Pothohaar. Then KP should be divided in Hazara and Pakhtun Khah and the part of Pashtun Baluchistan should be added in KP and some parts of KP and baluchistan then added in Saraiki Waseb. The last division will be demanded from Mohajirs of Sindh and that movement will be violent and will probably not be limited in constitutional limits.

Now Pakistan divided purely on linguistic lines (on the basis of their cultural differences with other people of their country and by masking the similarities which they share with other ethnicities) will it survive or disintegrate due to the political discourse based on hatred on ethnic lines. I think the first voice of separatism will be raised from karachi and then from Baluchistan. In the current degrading economic situation, Pakistan can eventually fail to remain united. i don't think the present lot of politicians considering their capabilities and "popularity" can manage such a complex issue. I hope that Pakistan remain united, prosperous and strong while becoming more and more democratic.....I hope.....

Historically Bahawalpur was never been a part of "Punjab". It succeeded with Pakistan with the condition that it will remain independent, but later it was merged in one-unit. I am a Saraiki, but I dont really want this division based on my ethnicity, it is just like when this area has independent identity then proper budget and spendings will be done here. I can guarantee not a single saraiki wants this division because of ethnicity, it is just that we want it for proper budget allocation. It is an ignored area since all the revenues are being spent solely on Lahore. cheers

Parliamentary body's 'Bahawalpur South Punjab' province report in NA next week

ISLAMABAD: The Parliamentary commission for formulating new provinces in Punjab on Saturday unanimously decided on the proposed name for the new province in south Punjab, Bahawalpur South Punjab province.
The commission said that its report on formulating a new province has been finalised and signed by all and it will be presented in the National Assembly next week.
A member of the commission told APP outside the Parliament House on Saturday that the commission has decided to include Mainwali and Bhakkar districts would in the new province of Bahawalpur South Punjab. He added that the bill was drafted keeping in view all matters related to a new province, including the distribution of financial resources.
Chairman of Commission Senator Farhatullah Babar said that the nation would soon hear good news of the new province.
MNA and Commission Member Jamsheed Dasti said the new province was a demand from the people in south Punjab and Bahawlpur. To a question, he said all members of the Commission had played their role in the preparation of the report and he hoped that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will support the bill for creating Bahawalpur South Punjab province.
