لیاقت علی چٹھہ نے مزید کہا کہ ۔ ’میں نے آج صبح کی نماز کے بعدخود کشی کی کوشش کی، پھر سوچا میں کیوں حرام کی موت مروں ، کیوں نہ ساری چیزیں عوام کے سامنے رکھوں۔‘

انہوں نے کہا کہ تمام بیورو کریسی سے گزارش ہے کہ شیروانیاں سلوا کر منسٹر بننے کے لیے پھرنے والے سیاسی لوگوں کے لیے کوئی غلط کام نہ کریں۔

کمشنر راولپنڈی کا مزید کہنا تھا کہ میں نہیں چاہتاکہ اکہترکاواقعہ دوبارہ ہو، میں اپنےضمیرکابوجھ خوداتاررہا ہوں۔

ہریس کانفرنس کے بعد میڈیا نمائندوں کے سوالات کےجوابات دیتے ہوئے انہوں نے کہا کہ مجھ پر کوئی دباؤنہیں، میرے باپ دادا ملک کے لیے جنگوں کا حصہ بنتے رہے ہیں، میں اس ملک کے لیے ایسا نہیں کرسکتا۔
