There doesnt seems to be a policy to hold the currency value. State Bank is not intervening in the market to sell Dollars.

Exactly. This is the right policy. State Bank should not intervene and let rupee find its own market value.

We can always get back your favorite Nawaz Sharif and Ishaq Dollar from London. They were so sincere they didn't let dollar price go above 104 Rs for 4 years that bankrupted Pakistan in 2018.

In world markets there is a big element of speculators, foreign investors who also join in to drive profits and most Central Banks will intervene. Bank of England has done it so many times to defend the Pound.

Not in Pakistan but in Thailand Yes, they did it , now Bhatt emerging as strongest currency of ARSEAN .
Pakistan had 3 eras for stabilise PKR in 60s , 80s and 2000-2007.
If we could keep pace of 2007 , we would had achieved lowering of USD back to RS 50 from 60. As we had already quit IMF in 2004. Our total dept came down from 38 Billions to 32 Billions. We were no more burrowing.
So it was great chance PKR would had beaten USD.
