I am trying to say that don't try to use the irrelevant numbers to justify the rising inflation in the country . The government is already taking a big chuck of the revenue from petroleum products . If you ever wants to compare the inflationary impact, then come up with right numbers and compare apple to an apple.https://statisticstimes.com/economy/countries-by-petrol-prices-and-gdp-per-capita.php
What difference does it make if Pakistani's have less buying power? The people selling the oil are not going to give it cheaper because our earnings are less than India or BD. Does any trader in Pakistan sell goods ata discount to the poor?
Are you trying to say the Government should lower the price of petrol because every Pakistani is poor?? 145PKR is already a very low price as it is since the Government only puts a 10Rs fuel Levy on it. The UK for comparison takes 57.95p fuel duty and then 20% VAT on the total price.
This link shows historical petrol prices in Pakistan.

The current price is still cheaper than it was in 2014/15.
Lets say if the market price of the oil in international market is $ 81.00 dollars ( just closing price on Friday trading is $81.17) .If the USD is 172 Rupees, then a liter of oil is about .51 cents US. which is 88 rupee per liter. You add shipping, domestic transportation , profit for retailer, it will be less than 100 rupee /liter. The domestic transportation cost is no more than 10 paisa /liter. The going price is 145 rupee/liter. That is more than 45 rupee/liter added taxes, duties and levy on it. It almost 1/3 which is tax and the money goes to Government.
