I am not a doctor but I know a few doctors some are friends others are just acquaintance.I read somewhere that 60% of world's diabetic population is Asian.As mentioned already it is due to diet and lack of exercise.Type-2 diabetes is due being overweight or inactive plus having it in the family.

Actually we are better. Yeah curry and that is bad but not as bad as junk food which Americans eat.

This is why Pakistanis on a whole are healthier and not fat.

McDonald's one burger contains enough calories you need for a day. Chapati and curries can't compete with that.

We also have healthy family system and people cook their own homemade food so the only people who get fat are from overconsumption. Americans/Western people don't have that and their menu most of the time is junk food or takeout.

But our hospitals and sanitation system and drinking water is shit so our life expectancy is super low compared to the rest of the world.
