Imran could have attended the KL Summit and kept everyone happy.This fiasco happened due to lack of planning and poor advice to him.Pakistan had two months to prepare for this summit so why couldn't Imran bring everyone on board.this is very embarrassing for Pakistan but when a country relies on aid then it can't make its own decisions.

ملائشیا نہ جانا خارجہ پالیسی کی ناکامی نہی۔ لیکن پہلے جانے کا اعلان کرنا اور پھر نہ جا سکنا ایک ناکامی ہے سپیشلی جب زبان زدِ عام ہو جائے کہ کہ نہ جانے کی وجہ کسی تیسرے ملک کا دباؤ ہے۔ اگر ایسا تھا کہ خارجہ ایکسپرٹس کے اندازوں کے عین مخالف سعودی عرب نے سخت رویہ اپنایا تھا اور پاکستان وہاں جانے کا متحمل نہی تھا تو وزیراعظم کو سعودی عرب نہی جانا چاہیئے تھا اور بیماری کا بہانہ کر کے وزیرِخارجہ کو ملائشیا بھیج دینا چاہیئے تھا۔ وزیراعظم کے نہ جانے پر وزیرِ خارجہ کی شمولیت پر سعودی ری ایکشن قدرے نرم ہوتا جسے کہ سنبھالا جا سکتا تھا۔
میرے خیال میں دفترِ خارجہ پالیسی بنانے اور پھر مصیبت پڑنے پر مسئلہ کو ہینڈل کرنے میں ناکام رہا ہے۔
رہی پالیسی تو میرے خیال میں پاکستان کو اس وقت تک سعودی عرب کی لائن پر چلنا پڑے گا جب تک کہ ہم معاشی آزادی حاصل نہی کر سکتے۔ ہاں ایران کے معاملے پر ہم واضح کر سکتے ہیں کہ ہماری مجوزہ لمٹس کیا ہیں۔ پاکستان کے لئے بہتر یہی ہوگا کہ اگلے پندرہ سال تک اپنا پورا زور معاشیات پر رکھے اور بین القوامی محاذ پر سادھو بن کر یہ وقت گزارے۔ ہمیں ایران سعودی یا ایران امریکہ بیچ کسی سہولت کاری میں بھی بلکل نہی پڑنا چاہیئے۔​
