Zaat Paat , Caste System

in islam it is clearly mention that all muslims are equal but those who are better in deeds will be ranked higher .but in Pakistan it is practiced 100 % oppositely . in Pakistan it is said ..what ever my character is my caste is still higher then yours . why this caste system exist in Pakistan and the simple answer is most of the people were converted from hindu religion so to some extant they still believe in hindu norms

. people still live along with hindu taboes and rituals . but that is not the only truth the worst case is that so called syeds who hold the pride having direct linage with prophet are even worst .and specially those who are shia syeds practice it to the core . they believe that death of syeda is preferred then to get married with ordinary shia who they believe is omati and non syed ..

and unfortunaitly even sunni syeds are practising it now they have their own reasons to believe it as they are masters of manupelating things but although being from a syed family I myself has proven them wrong in many places and the only answer they come up with even if we accept what you r saying our family will disown us . so we can not do it . I will leave it here as I know some of big head will come up to rescue their taboo but I will answer then their common wrong question will be the mother of momamin cant marry momin .or some khafo or some other brainwashed question I know them all will answer when some one will put it ..

now to other caste since I do belongs to a feudal family I have heard those who works on our lands are called .. ( qasbi ) and they are considered as shodars . in some other part of Punjab they are called khamyar or komar or kami .. in Sindh they are called hari ... upon researching I came to knew that it is actually such a big blashphemy to call some one a kasbi and thiking him a low class human being .. this kasbi word came from quran and it is said .. alqasibo habibulah .. which means a qasbi ( labourer ) is gods friend .. and we use it to humiliate poor class ..

this humiliation is on such a level that forget about getting married to them . the upper class feudal called malik chuadary rajpoot syed etc etc cant even imagine to drink water from same glass what these poor kasbies has used for drinking .. and asking for marital relation or even thinking for such relation is a call of death for them .
this is how we treat our poor muslims where as for non muslims it is so easy and justifiable to even kill them I do remember in Rawalpindi lal kurti a poor Christian boy fell in love with a girl belongs to so called chudary family upon discloser the guy was killed by the brothers and blamed for balshphemy I remember his case wasn't registered even .

now the question is who gave this caste system to people ,, were they born with it I never heard some born with chudary or malik or syed written on his forehead he was given this name by people or in most cases himself . and if you scratch it further you will discover all these names have only one common influence in different areas and that influence is that by holding such name mean you r from well off family . so in other means it represents only their wealth or power .

but at the same time these people dsnt accept other poor peoples as same to them who suddenly become rich like them that is so hypocrite .. and strange thing is if a family changes his caste people will not accept it on the other hand at day light bilawal become Bhutto from zardari no one will raise question ...

being muslim we believe all human beings are offspring of hazrat adam yet again we classed other castes as they born to some other adam at some other planet .
one another question is how come some share his fathers title for example ( syed malik raja chudary )

all these title means head of some area so in old days since head was coming from their families and offspring was replacing their fathers so we can consider them as they can carry on title but how can we continue it in todays age as the head of state is called primminster so every one who will born from his lineage will be called priminster .

one another thing I observed is that people link professions with their caste and also they link it with the scale of their business for example ..a person who who is a cobbler it becomes it caste as mochi .. and he is considered as low caste where as another person who is doing same business but at large scale for example he is running a shoe factory or batta shoe shop or service shoe shop he is perceived as from higher class and holds higher prestige .

same as if some one produce 2 liter petrol in his house on low scale is called tailee and then it becomes his low caste where as if some one is running oil well or owns a petrol station he is believed he is malik chudary raja and from upper class family where as both people are running oil business its just a difference of scale .

well there are much more things which I want to write but I know it might become boring for those who believe their caste will remain higher regardless what ever their character is . they will remain sayed and shah je with much higher prestige even if he consume alcohol every day and earns illegal money and does every thing forbid in religion and society . but they have their own values and their quran much bigger then real one in which they have wrote .. when you buy a dog must check his breed .. lolz hypocrite .

Re: zaat paat .caste system

This sermon was delivered on the Ninth Day of Dhul Hijjah 10 A.H. in the 'Uranah valley of Mount Arafat' (in Mecca).

After praising, and thanking God he said:

"O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and take these words to those who could not be present here today.

O People, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your Lord, and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. God has forbidden you to take usury (interest), therefore all interest obligation shall henceforth be waived. Your capital, however, is yours to keep. You will neither inflict nor suffer any inequity. God has judged that there shall be no interest and that all the interest due to Abbas ibn 'Abd'al Muttalib (Prophet's uncle) shall henceforth be waived...

Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.

O People, it is true that you have certain rights with regard to your women, but they also have rights over you. Remember that you have taken them as your wives only under God's trust and with His permission. If they abide by your right then to them belongs the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it is your right that they do not make friends with any one of whom you do not approve, as well as never to be unchaste.

O People, listen to me in earnest, worship God, say your five daily prayers (Salah), fast during the month of Ramadan, and give your wealth in Zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to.

All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves.

Remember, one day you will appear before God and answer your deeds. So beware, do not stray from the path of righteousness after I am gone.

O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Quran and my example, the Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray.

All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again; and may the last ones understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness, O God, that I have conveyed your message to your people".

Re: zaat paat .caste system

Islam came and destroyed the concept of hereditary (موروثی) rank. The Quran declares that people are created inherently equal and differ only based on their Taqwa (piety):

Yusuf Ali 13:
O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things).

The Quran repeatedly holds each individual responsible for his or her own conduct. The actions of one soul cannot affect another, neither positively nor negatively. Is their anyone wish to go against the egalitarian (سب انسان برابر ہیں) spirit of Islam, and would instead be a reflection of Jahiliyyah custom in which people thought they would be saved based on their familial connections as opposed to their Taqwa. The Quran categorically declares that on the Day of Judgement a person’s familial connections will be cut off:

Yusuf Ali 94: "And behold! ye come to us bare and alone as We created you for the first time: ye have left behind you all (the favours) which We bestowed on you: We see not with you your intercessors whom ye thought to be partners in your affairs: so now all relations between you have been cut off, and your (pet) fancies have left you in the lurch!"

And then Allah says:

Yusuf Ali 48: Then guard yourselves against a day when one soul shall not avail another nor shall intercession be accepted for her, nor shall compensation be taken from her, nor shall anyone be helped (from outside).

And again:

Yusuf Ali 123: Then guard yourselves against a-Day when one soul shall not avail another, nor shall compensation be accepted from her nor shall intercession profit her nor shall anyone be helped (from outside).

The Quran categorically states that no soul shall have an effect on another:

Yusuf Ali 164: Say: "Shall I seek for (my) Cherisher other than Allah, when He is the Cherisher of all things (that exist)? Every soul draws the meed of its acts on none but itself: no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another. Your goal in the end is towards Allah. He will tell you the truth of the things wherein ye disputed."

And again, Allah repeats it: (Quran, 53:38-39)
(Quran, 53:38)
Yusuf Ali 38: Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another;

(Quran, 53:39)
Yusuf Ali 39: That man can have nothing but what he strives for;

As well as: (Quran, 6:70)
Yusuf Ali 70:Leave alone those who take their religion to be mere play and amusement, and are deceived by the life of this world. But proclaim (to them) this (truth): that every soul delivers itself to ruin by its own acts: it will find for itself no protector or intercessor except Allah. if it offered every ransom, (or reparation), none will be accepted: such is (the end of) those who deliver themselves to ruin by their own acts: they will have for drink (only) boiling water, and for punishment, one most grievous: for they persisted in rejecting Allah.
• The Hadiths
The Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم) declared that people were born inherently equal “except by piety and good action (Taqwa). Indeed the best among you is the one with the best character (Taqwa). Listen to me. Did I convey this to you properly?…Each one of you who is here must convey this to everyone not present.” (Excerpt from the Prophet’s Last Sermon as in Baihiqi)

The Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم) said:“There are indeed people who boast of their dead ancestors; but in the sight of Allah they are more contemptible than the black beetle that rolls a piece of dung with its nose. Behold, Allah has removed from you the arrogance of the Time of Jahiliyyah (Ignorance) with its boast of ancestral glories. Man is but an Allah-fearing believer or an unfortunate sinner. All people are the children of Adam, and Adam was created out of dust.” [At-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud]

The Prophet (صلّى الله عليه وآله وسلّم) said further: “Undoubtedly Allah has removed from you the pride of arrogance of the age of Jahiliyah (ignorance) and the glorification of ancestors. Now people are of two kinds. Either believers who are aware or transgressors who do wrong. You are all the children of Adam and Adam was made of clay… If they do not give this up (i.e. pride in ancestors) Allah will consider them lower than the lowly worm which pushes itself through Khara (dung).” [Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi]

'A'isha, the wife of Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him), reported that the Quraish were concerned about the woman who had committed theft during the lifetime of Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him), in the expedition of Victory (of Mecca). They said: Who would speak to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) about her? They (again) said: Who can dare do this but Usama b Zaid, the loved one of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him)? She was brought to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) and Usama b. Zaid spoke about her to him (interceded on her behalf). The colour of the face of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) changed, and he said: Do you intercede in one of the prescribed punishments of Allah? He (Usama) said: 'Messenger of Allah, seek forgiveness for me. When it was dusk. Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) stood up and gave an address. He (first) glorified Allah as He deserves, and then said: Now to our topic. This (injustice) destroyed those before you that when any one of (high) rank committed theft among them, they spared him, and when any weak one among them committed theft, they inflicted the prescribed punishment upon him. By Him in Whose Hand is my life, even if Fatima daughter of Muhammad were to commit theft, I would have cut off her hand. He (the Holy Prophet) then commanded about that woman who had committed theft, and her hand was cut off. 'A'isha (further) said: Hers was a good respentance, and she later on married and used to come to me after that, and I conveyed her needs (and problems) to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him). [Sahih Muslim, Book# 017, Hadeeth# 4188]

After reading above verses of Quraan and hadith it would be accusation on Prophet Muhammad
(صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) if some insists that Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) praised and exalted his progeny (آل اولاد) and lineage (حسب نسب). After all, how could the Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) praise and exalt (مرتبہ) his progeny (آل اولاد) and lineage (حسب نسب) whilst forbidding anyone else from glorifying their lineage?
