Bedouin's logic prove the existence of God

Once, a Bedouin was asked what made an unsophisticated man like him believe in Allah.

Bedouin: "Do you see these marks in the sand?"

Man: "Yes."

Bedouin: "What do they tell you?"

Man: "A camel went by."

Bedouin: "Did you see the camel?"

Man: "No, but these footprints in the sand suggest that a camel made them."

Bedouin: "Do you see these mountains?"

Man: "Yes."

Bedouin: "They are indicative to me that Allah made them."

How Mountains are Formed :geek:

1. When two plates collide head-on(Plate tectonics): Fold Mountains
a) Fold mountains are the most common type of mountain. The worlds largest mountain ranges are fold mountains. These ranges were formed over millions of years.
b) Fold mountains are formed when two plates collide head on, and their edges crumbled, much the same way as a piece of paper folds when pushed together.
eg. Himalayas - these were formed when the Indian plate crashed into Asia.

2. When faults or cracks in the earth's crust force some materials or blocks of rock up and others down: Fault-block Mountains
a) Instead of the earth folding over, the earth's crust fractures (pulls apart). It breaks up into blocks or chunks. Sometimes these blocks of rock move up and down, as they move apart and blocks of rock end up being stacked on one another.
eg. the Sierra Nevada mountains in North America.

3. When magma pushes its way up under the Earth's crust: Dome Mountains
a) Without actually erupting onto the surface, the magma pushes up overlaying rock layers.
b) At some point, the magma cools and forms hardened rock. The uplifted area created by rising magma is called a dome because of looking like the top half of a sphere (ball).

4. Mountains formed by Volcanoes: Volcanic Mountains
a) Volcanic Mountains are formed when molten rock (magma) deep within the earth, erupts, and piles upon the surface. Magna is called lava when it breaks through the earth's crust.
b) When the ash and lava cools, it builds a cone of rock. Rock and lava pile up, layer on top of layer.
eg. Mount St. Helens in North America

5. Mountains formed by Erosion: Plateau Mountains
a) Plateau mountains are not formed by internal activity. Instead, these mountains are formed by erosion.
b) Plateaus are large flat areas that have been pushed above sea level by forces within the Earth, or have been formed by layers of lava.

--A book entitled "Earth" is a basic reference textbook in many universities around the world.One of its two authors is Professor Emeritus Frank Press.He was the Science Advisor to former US President Jimmy Carter,and for 12 years was the President of the National Academy of Sciences,Washington,DC.His book says that mountains have underlying roots.(Earth, Press and Siever,p. 435.Also see Earth Science,Tarbuck and Lutgens,p.157) :)

These roots are deeply embedded in the ground,thus,mountains have a shape like a peg. 8-) :)

This is how the Qur'an has described mountains.Allah (SWT) has said in the Qur'an:

"Have We not made the earth as a bed,and the mountains as pegs?" (The Holy Quran,78:6-7)

--Modern earth sciences have proven the mountains have deep roots under the surface of the ground and that these roots can reach several times their elevations above the surface of the ground.So the most suitable word to describe mountains on the basis of this information is the word "peg",since most of a property set peg is hidden under the surface of the ground.

--The history of science tells us that theory of mountains having deep roots was introduced only in 1865 by the Astonomer Royal,Sir George Airy. (Earth,Press and Siever,p. 435) 8-) :ugeek:

-Mountains also play an important role in stabilizing the crust of the earth.They hinder the shaking of the earth.Allah( SWT) has said in the Quran:

"And He has set firm mountains in the earth so that it would not shake with you..." (The Holy Quran,16:15)

--Likewise,the modern theory of plate tectonics holds that mountains work as stabilizers for earth :D :ugeek: 8-) .This Knowledge about the role of mountains as stabilizers for the earth has just begun to be understood in the framework of plate tectonics since the late 1960's.

--Could anyone during the time of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) have known of the true shape of mountains? Could anyone imagine that the solid massive mountain which he sees before him actually extends deep into the earth and has a root, as scientists affirm? Modern geology has confirmed the truth of the Qur'anic verses. :geek: :ugeek:

1. I think by "technology" you are referring to human body preservation and building structures like pyramids........(human involvement) ;)
But do you think that "How mountains are formed" lies in the same category??????? (No human or so called ancestor's involvement)
Do you think earth, mountain, lakes, ocean etc. formation lies in the same category??????? :?

2. Its purely depends on your intellect. In a class room few students get the teacher's point in 1st example and some took time and more examples, and for some teacher remain helpless............

Before Einstein's famous theory that "space, matter and time are also relative to frame of reference" we cannot imagine that time and space can be altered by us but now we know that by using(attaining) speed of light we can change our frame of reference with the rest of the universe.....

I am trying to say that if a child is taught from birth that we cannot change speed of time by any means then the child cannot think of The theory called "Theory of relativity".......so it is hard for you to to accept the fact about religion but if you try...... it will definitely help you :|

Not suitable for a Muslim..........Consider how peoples asked taunting questions from Prophet (Sallalah hu Alaihai Wasalam) and how he address their queries................(definitely not like the above one)

--How Naive and Ignorant of you :o ..It's not just anything it's Scientific facts being discovered these days which had been there all along for Centuries in the True Word of Allah,The Holy Quran and said by None other than our Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him),and Who better to know and Describe it than Allah (SWT) who HIMSELF had Created Everything. :)

brain,Origin of Universe(Big bang theory) which recently,by recently i mean around 50-100 years Scientists have been able to identify,You'll get the Most Appropriate answer from The Word of Allah ( SWT)..The Creator of All the Matter.

--Man gets absorbed into finding the truth and reality of objects which have been already Clearly mentioned in The Holy Quran,but yet deny it once faced with truth, how unfortunate :roll:How long will you keep Denying the Truth 8-)
