despite that he was also a martial law admin, the days of Ayub khan were much much golden than era of any other general.

But it would be wrong to compare Ayub with Mush for these reasons, but for a Pakistani, nonetheless, his days were better:

1. Country was very new in 1958.
2. Technology wasnt where it is now
3. Spy satellites were not invented or were in crib still
4. Installing of Ayub was CIA's second successful experiment, first was Shah of Iran in 1953
5 Population of Pakistan was way smaller - less mouth to feed.
6. There were onloy two provinces, East Pakistan and West Pakistan. General Yehya for some damn reason made 4 provinces out of the west - the source of trouble. He killed the unit of West
7. Ayub did start a new definition of democracy - BD (Basic Democracy) - a CIA sponsored scheme and experiment
8. Under the BD systems, which was also in the line Mao's ways of ruling, The BD members got rich and CORRUPTION started.
9. Corruption increased. More and more people became or try to become BD local Chairman due to glitter of being one- that created even spiral corruption thus large gaos between haves and havenots.
10 Corruption and ihasas-e-mahroomiat in East gave way to separation movement, hence a wonderful opportunity for Indira govt to capitalize on of dream to break up Pakistan as dreamed by her father - Jawahir Lal nehru
11. Then comes the ghaddar ZABhutto, who had signed a deal after 1965 war to allow India to break away east. Bhutto was given assurance by India an USSR on his becoming the PM.

To cut short, all Generals were dictator. But for public in short term - Ayub & Zia were the best - Ayub for stability and Zia for Islamicism

Gen. Ayub Khan.
He put the country on the right track,he may have made mistakes but all in all he was good for the Pakistan.
His biggest mistake is bhutto.

The country got a boost in industrialisation during Pres. Ayubs rule and Paksitan was developing at a great pace. RISHWAT was not very common in those days. So most of the allocated funds were properly utilised. Development was visible. So, I vote for President Ayubs period.

which policy, did you feel it is made by Zardari's Administration. he is not good strategic person, no doubt it took many decisions which is very astounded us, for the instance: NRO challange case.

I think you could not enjoy the humorous concept by saying of Gen. Zardai ???????????????
