I personally believe that prophetic democracy is the best for the whole mankind. some people say democracy and they mean western one which is never good for a society. some say khilafah and they practically incline more towards dictatorship or kind of faciosism which is again not right. The best option is the Prophetic Democracy - which was practised by our beloved prophet SAW and promoted by the Khulafa' e Rashideen RA. For details, refer to The Quranic basis of Constitutional Theory by Dr. Qadri. The best practical form of which in our circumstances would be ''the Proportional Representation'' or something in those lines. i. e. All the party leaders present their manifesto and agenda and policies in various fields with equal opportunity on TV and the whole nation watches it. Then they vote for the party whose manifesto they like the most. So, the party represents those who vote for it. Then the parties are asked to nominate their representatives to sit as members of parliament according to the percentage of votes they have got. End of story. No jalse, no money involvement, no buying and selling of horses.
