Just yesterday it was Stephen Hawking with a theory involving 2-3 conjectures and a paradox, which couldn't possibly be 'really' comprehend by the physics graduates not well versed in differential topology. And we were at each other's throat based on a couple of TV-tuned statements which had nothing directly to do with the theory.
And today we are served with a kindergarten level presentation of the solar system (of course with space-time structure) in terms of (the erroneous) Newtonian mechanical description and of course with completely wrong answers. If this collapse would be really at 'instant' then don't expect a solution with this 'instantly' emerging singularity. I'd be hard pressed how to mathematically describe this situation. And if this 'instance' is some years or some reasonably measurable time, I don't expect there would be a collision as this kid's video wishes to portray - rather expect a local collapse.
Wouldn't it be fine to leave the scientific ideas alone than to use them for our respective political agenda? This practice rather undermines the Science then to spread the love for scientific learning. Mixing up science with philosophy produces fluff and more hot air. Let's strictly adhere to the Logical Positivism when we talk about the sciences - and nothing beyond.
