They have concentrated so much on Pakistan that they have missed a number of crucial points while looking at their neighbour in the South in order come up with the report. First, LTTE has pretty much been finished and their spine got busted 4 years back when their leader Prabhakaran also died in the operation. Second, It's true that many Islamist suicide bombers derived the idea of suicide bombing from Tamil suicide bombers but LTTE existed before 9/11 too and Pakistan always had had bilateral relationships with Sri Lanka but didn't bother to give any support to Tamil Tigers, in fact militarily Islamabad always supported the Sinhalese government whenever the latter needed any help, not to forget that Pervez Musharraf had also gone to assist the government in Colombo to tackle Tamil Tigers before the Coup happened in October 1999 immediately after his return. So, how come LeT/JuD and and TTP (which emerged within the last 5-8 years) show any sign of alliance with an organization in Sri Lanka which is now defunct?
