PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkwha (KP) Ameer Haider Khan Hoti said Thursday that the time for rifts with MQM was over, Geo News reported.

Hoti who was speaking to reporters after a polio eradication drive said it was time to work for the prosperity of the nation and peace in Karachi.

Hoti added that spirit and passion was required to establish peace in Karachi and all stakeholders had to work together to achieve this goal.

"Until we move forward from these rifts things will not improve" Hoti said.

Meanwhile the MQMs Rabita Committee welcomed the statement made by Hoti and said the party would not attach any conditions to ending rifts with the Awami National Party.

Lets hope both ANP and MQM will stop killing innocent people and will also stop collecting bhatta.

Another attempt to buy some time - they realize that they will not be able to collect the loot unhindered if there is real interference in the way they operate - all the political parties are corrupt and they know that they can easily get away with it - just try to play some games - pull wool over everyone's eyes - few days ago they were at each others throat and now they are acting as if they are the most innocent and there are criminals who have infiltrated their parties. The thing is that until yesterday they were claiming that there were no criminal elements in their ranks and no one from their parties is involved in any killings. I wonder if normal people without any political affiliations just wake up and go around killing people of other ethnicities! There is no underworld in Karachi - thats just a term to fool people - there are these political parties who are vying for the loot and dont like others to encroach on their earnings. After all if you have to pay $1.6 million in divorce payment then you have to make up that amount somehow.....people of Pakistan will keep suffering until they realise that ALL the political parties are out to benifit their leaders only and to sustain their larger families, biradaries and cronies. All the leaders are demagogues.....
