Last night I was talking to an Imrani who was of the view that the Balti is going to protect Imran Khan from gunfire. Let us for a moment become hindu and stop thinking that Allah is the only Al-Hafeez and see how much protection the Balti is giving Imran Khan.
The following analysis is simple and easy to understand for an ordinary Imrani who has mental capabilities equal to or little above Imran Khan. All data used in this analysis can be confirmed on the net.
Let us hypothetically consider that Dirty Harry hires an assassin who uses the most popular and cheaply available 9 mm semi-automatic weapon. Imran Khan is coming with the balti inverted over head. The balti is just a loose cylinder, open from one side and sitting on the shoulders of Imran Khan. Assuming the balti is made of two layers of Dupont K29 Kavlar fabric and 2 mm thick Titanium shield inside. Both of these materials together will never let the bullet pierce through and reach Imran Khan's beautiful face. In other words, the whole balti will stay intact and serve its purpose perfectly.
Now let us get into the Muzzle velocities and the momentum that will be transferred to the Balti.
A 9 mm bullet FMJ (Full Metal Jacket) bullet if fired within a 100-meter range, shall carry a muzzle velocity of 1150 ft/sec or 351 meters/sec. This bullet will carry the ballistic Energy of 364 ft-pound of 494 Joules.
Suppose the balti acts perfectly and does not let the bullet penetrate at all. This means the bullet will deliver its complete ballistic energy to the balti. Let us assume that in a perfect world, the dent in titanium will reduce 20% of the energy. The remaining 80% energy, which is 395 Joules will be completely transferred to the Balti. This will move the balti. Let us suppose 20% more momentum is reduced due to the weight of the balti compared to the ballistic force that bullet will deliver.
So to total energy Batli will carry is 60% of the Ballistic Energy of a bullet, which is 296 Joules.
So the Balti will hit Imran Khans’ face with 296 Joules of Energy.
According to medical studies, it needs only 15 pounds per square inch of pressure to crush a human skull. It will need only 10 % of this to crack open a human skull.
Therefore, batli will deliver 175 times more energy to our beloved face. Now you can Imagine what will be left inside the balti if dirty Harry does that.
The question is that, did anyone tell this to Imran Khan? I guess the Idiot like Major Adil Raja must be wise enough to know this. So Imran Khan definitely knows that Balti is not going to protect his beloved face in case of an attack from Dirty Harry. So what the hell he is doing. And Why the Hell he is doing?
