Alien in this post means "Extraterrestrial", [HI]the popular concept of Jinn is contested even in Islam, but even if we agree that Jinns do exist, they can not be categorized as extraterrestrials[/HI].

Also, the concept of Jinns did not originate in Islam, Arabs believed in Jinns long before the advent of Islam.

I would like to know the reference of that statement. Why they cannot be categorized as E.T's?

They can not be categorized as ETs because they are earth bound i.e. terrestrial. And yes, Arabs already had the concept of Jinn.

The concepts of many supernatural beings are older than Islam. The angels, the Burraq and Jinnat. Angels of course are the continuation of Judeo-Christian tradition, Burraq appears as Pegasus in the Greek mythology. Jinn is an Arab concept though

I have visited the link you provided. Can you tell me the qualifications of Qamar Zaman, with reference link. I am not sure whether he is a Dr. or not.
What i have read about his concepts about Ramadan, does he calls himself a Muslim? I mean that is some really twisted thinking, he is even questioning the basic principle of Islam that is fast.

Give me a precise answer about his qualifications and his background if you can. I don't want to get into detail as I haven't read most of his stuff and don't want to derail this thread also.

The parts that I have highlighted, I do agree with you. For other parts I would like to comment regarding that, I don't want to derail the topic, but I am being forced to so:
1) I didn't say he is nothing, he might have worked really hard but what he is mentioning is not appropriate and more likely a thinking of an apostate. I don't know him so that's why I was asking for his qualifications. Even on his site I was and still unable to find his qualifications.
2) I don't agree with that approach degree degree hoti hai, scholar scholar hota hai. If a person is raising questions against majority of the scholars(from time 200 hijri and onwards) about even the basic principles of Islam(fasting etc.) then my logical response would be he is not a scholar.

Sorry if you are his die hard fan or a follower. May Allah helps us all seeking the truth. My questions for Mr. Naamdar are still valid I hope so.

in pakistan mostly scholars r fake degree holders,,,getting a false degree in pakistan is as easy as commenting others negatively.
