Whenever any non Muslim brings up the issue of slavery then every Muslim comes up with the answer that slavery was not encouraged, and slavery was gradually abolished by Islam.
But look at ISIS. They are reviving the same concept yet again. The same concept that Muslims say was abolished gradually because it was reviled by Islam.

People who support ISIS must come out clean. Do they really support slavery? If yes then would they be ok if others made their own women and children slaves?

You should understand more about khawarij, their fasaad against Muslims, and Quranic orders to destroy such mufsideen before supporting that black evil Khariji State.

Except for a few Salafi Wahhabi mullahs, slavery has been discouraged by the Muslims. Do some online search. Read Wikipedia and views of people like Maududi and Sayyid Qutb, the fore bearers of Qaeda. Slavery after wars was allowed at that time because it was the norm of the day. Even when Islam allowed it due to it being common, it was clearly abhorred by the prophet. This is why there was so much emphasis on freeing slaves. But times have changed now. Nobody enslaves and rapes after capturing a population. So there is absolutely no need to revive a practice which was disliked by the prophet, even if it was allowed.
Why revive a practice which is not necessary for one to be a Muslim? Slavery was just one of the many options available to Muslims of those times. It was not wajib for Muslims to practice.

There is a reason rights of prisoners of wars are granted. These rights are not given because of love of prisoners, but because if one abuses his prisoner of war then he should expect the same treatment from the enemies capturing their soldiers/people.
Of course you can do whatever you want with women when you occupy a population. But remember that the same treatment will be meted out to your mothers, sisters, and daughters if you abuse their women folks.
By enslaving and raping other people's women, you are giving your enemies the right to rape your own sisters and daughters.

FYI Sunni kurds are with IS... Kurds fighting against IS are communists or Nationalists which have alliance with Israel.. recently these Kurds fighting with IS showed solidarity with Yazidis by changing their belief to Yazidis for ine day... What Muslim can do that? Al azhar and saudi clerics are at govt payroll, those standing for IS are either banned or extradited.. whereas the majority of the population there is waiting to be the part of Caliphate. That's the reason Saudis are asking fir Pakistani rental army because they don't trust their army as well as their public. Its writing on the wall that the day IS attacks Saudia people will kill these oppressive kings.
