Imran Khan to address World Economic Forum in Davos on "The Reality of Terrorism"
The Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan is the only leader from any Asian or African Country, outside the Government, who has been invited by the World Economic Forum to address it.
The PTI Chairman is leaving for Davos Switzerland, on 26th January 2011 for the purpose. Among his other engagements Imran Khan will also be addressing World Economic Forum on the topic of The Reality of Terrorism on 27th January 2011.
It is singular honor bestowed on Imran Khan by such a reputable international body like the World Economic Forum, which is an independent international organization committed to improving the state of the world by engaging business, political, academic other leaders of society. It may be pointed out that The World Economic Forum is a Geneva-based non-profit foundation best known for its annual meeting in Davos a mountain resort in Graudbunden, the eastern Alps region of Switzerland. The meeting brings together top business leaders, international political leaders, selected intellectuals and journalists to discuss the most pressing issues facing the world, including health and the environment. Beside meetings, the WEF produces a series of research reports and engages its members in sector specific initiatives. WEF also organizes the "Annual Meeting of the New Champions" in China and a series of regional meetings throughout the year. In 2008 those regional meetings included meetings on Europe and Central Asia, East Asia, the Russia CEO Roundtable, Africa, the Middle East, and the World Economic Forum on Latin America. In 2008 it launched the "Summit on the Global Agenda" in Dubai. This year's WEF at Davos will be held from January 26 to January 30, 2011.
