This is why govt and military establishment are on same page. This country is in such bad situation that if things continue the way they have since 2008 then this country wont last another 10 years.

Our GDP per capita nominal is around $1,400 per person.
Most of this is not taxed. And from what is collected, half goes into interest payments and from what is left we try to fund an army that has to counter the 2nd largest army in the world.

These Maryams and Bilawals just don't get it, the old days are gone, if Pakistan is run the way their parents ran it, then there will be no more Pakistan and even military establishment knows it. The reason why there is such a strong commitment to anti-corruption and economy is that its a do or die situation for Pakistan. This is something that Status-Quo politicians are failing to understand, they are still living in the old mentality.

Indeed.. This is the main point which is being garbled by media for its own intersts.
Loans of almost $100B
Deficit of -$20B+ (Exports+Remitences-imports)
Payments getting matured (TV, Airports, motorways mortgaged)
Government Bonds related payments
Loan payments..

Then we say why Pakistan is not respected.. it is too weak.. sadly.. crawling..
Lots of effort and sacrifices needed to come out of this debt trap.

Industries are in bad shape and even if the whole world say, send us exports.. we have nothing to export.. cut down imports.. we have no local alternates..

Only hope is tourism.. Which need peace.. no wars...

This is what Pakistan decision makers can see and are moving correctly towards that but those who caused this situation at the first place, are not giving up on their evil plans and lots of our friends fall in emotional trap..
