Cans, Food, Labor, preservatives/Radiation. Rent, electricity, insurance, Bhata, Transport, Fuel, marketing cost.

I think there can be better Ideas, like Licensed Bottle Water Purification/ testing.

Dairy cows is also big business, 60 cows all you need to get started.

At this point starting small bussiness is not worth in Pakistan due to bhatta and terrorism. Many of my friends have lost 1-10 millions in an instant who started bussinesses between 2010-2012. Only 1 in 10 survived probably due to other mean like kunda free electricity. 9 out of 10 lost due to wrong governmental policies and discouragement. I recently lost 1 million in paultary. Malayasia, Singapore or Bangladesh are better options. I have recovered the money just shifting to Bangladesh within a year. No electricity shortage and one window operation including tax payments.

Yes still i am doing poultry bussiness in Bangladesh. I have 2 medium sized modern airconditioned units, one for laying other for meat. All run by local people. I am soon converting it into laying only. They are fully airconditioned modern units controlled with computerized technology with its own slaughter house. There are 2 main reasons for failure in Pakistan. Paultary has gone into few hands in Pakistan who also control and maufacture poultry feed. The control and keep price of feed at very high rate for out side small paultary owners. I now understood that to survive in Pakistan in poulltry you should own your own feed maunacturing unit as well. In Bandladesh I import feed at cheap rate from India. 2nd reason of failure was costly labour in Pakistan and lack of electricity.

In our language labour means much more than you people consider. It also include rent, electricity, insurance, bhata, transport, fuel, marketing, advertisement, raw material etc.

I am doing also a Poultry farm business in northern Areas of Pakistan. Run by locals. It is broiler Farm and open air (Not air conditoned). Next year i am also planing to start Layer Farming in month of march or April. Northern Area's climate is good, air is much better. Shedd rent is not high.
I agree that feed is damm expensive in Pakistan and major cost factor. In some African countries people make their own feed. They buy all important ingredients and mix by themselve.

Starting airconditioned unit at the outset was mistake especially at outskerts of Lahore. If I come back, I would like to start poultry feed making unit first.

I agree with you on this ... my friend owns a poultry farm ..and a feed mill ... on poultry farm he was only hoping for the favourable market rates to be set by the hamza sharif mafia in order to have some profits..... where as the feed mill was his hit project he showed me some numbers on his feed mill ... and i was amazed to see the profitability of it ... they were expecting to recover their investment in 2 years and frankly speaking more than half of the investment was already recovered in the first year of operation ....
