Hajj is only due if you can afford it.
If you cannot afford it, it is not obligatory. The obligations are for one Hajj.
Any type of loan or subsidy should not be allowed for Hajj. Imagine someone going to Hajj after borrowing on interest from bank!! Would that be acceptable!!
As for price, Rs 500,000 it is equal to £2,740 at the current rate of exchange.
In the UK the cheapest Hajj Packages are from £6000 to £7000.
I think Pakistani prices are still reasonable. I am thinking of Hajj but I have to have clear saving of at least £20,000 (3 people) before I can perform my duties bestowed on my by Allah SWT.

حج اور زکوٰۃ دو عبادات ہیں جو استطاعت رکھنے والوں پر واجب ہیں، سبسڈی کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ حکومت غریب لوگوں سے رقم لے کر حج کرائے، یہ حج عبادت کی بنیادی فلاسفی سے ہی متصادم ہے۔

اسلام آباد: وفاقی کابینہ نے حج پالیسی 2019ء کی منظوری دے دی۔ سبسڈی نہ دینے سے حج اخراجات میں 1 لاکھ 56 ہزار 975 روپے کا اضافہ ہو گیا۔ شمالی زون میں رہنے والوں
کے لیے حج اخراجات 4 لاکھ 36 ہزار 975 روپے جبکہ جنوبی زون کے لیے 4 لاکھ 26 ہزار روپے ہوں گے۔ وزیراعظم عمران خان کے زیر صدارت وفاقی کابینہ کا اجلاس، حج پالیسی 2019ء کی منظوری دے دی گئی۔ حج کے لیے سبسڈی نہ دینے کا فیصلہ، حج اخراجات میں 1 لاکھ 56 ہزار 975 روپے کا اضافہ ہو گیا۔وفاقی وزیر اطلاعات و نشریات فواد چوھدری نے کہاہے کہ وفاقی کابینہ نے حج پالیسی منطور کرلی ہے جس میں حاجیوں کو سہولیات دینے کا فیصلہ کیا گیا۔حج پالیسی میں زائرین کو سبسڈی دینے سے متعلق فیصلہ نہیں کیا گیا وزیزاعظم نے حاجیوں کوبہترین سہولیات دینے کاحکم دیاہے حج پر 4لاکھ36ہزار9سو75روپے خرچ ہوںگے،حج پالیسی پلان کا اعلان کیا گیاہے ، اس دفعہ حاجیوں کومثالی سہولیات ملنی چاہئے تاکہ حاجیوں کو کسی قسم کی تکالیف کا سامنانہ کرنا پڑے ، کوئٹہ میں پہلی بار حج فلائٹس براہ راست چلائی جائیں گی ، بائیو میٹر ک تصدیق کیلئے حاجیوں کو بڑے شہروں میں نہیں آنا پڑے گا .

If Govt have no money for subsidy on Hajj, the all other Subsidy should also stop, specially give all kind of facilities to Parliament members, are they more poor than a common man ?? if all subsidy given to parliament should stop, they more saving then on Hajj subsidy.
