Step aside Ipad & all the other tablets, Microsoft Surface Pro is here (My experience so far)

I have been a long time Ipad user and then I tried Android tablet(Nexus 7) as well. I got them but I never really found them useful because when I go online, it is mostly for work and until Surface pro, tablets were only half a computer for me. They were so limited and just couldn't replace my Desktop/Laptop computers. Surface pro is a complete desktop replacement + more. It is a bit heavier than all the other tablets out there in the market but it is much more useful. I'm just so impressed by this that I think If Apple doesn't give this experience to their tablets, Microsoft will be taking over the tablet market in a few years time. This is how a tablet should be!

One more thing I would like to mention is the dedicated surface Stylus. It works really well. Whatever I'v written on here, it is written by the stylus. Its just flawless.

For those who are looking to buy a tablet, make sure to Try surface Pro, not surface RT. RT has a very slow processor(Atom), on the other hand Pro has i5.

doesnt matter if its tablet, capsule, surface, sky or whatever good software is also important. I use windows and gates only for entertainment I use mac with core i7 for my study and work bcoz windows are full of viruses and often freezes when you are doing something important mac is far better than windows!

You may have tried RT. It is a bit slow. Pro has i5 processor and 4gb Ram. Not clunky at all.

Maybe you DisagreeFor The Sake of Disagreeing? You will still stay in que ;)

I own it and its NOT a DESKTOP REPLACEMENT

A 10.6 Inch Screen is waste simply for me, I will go for Lenovo Yoga Pad (at least 13.3 Screen)

You can buy a full feature laptop in same price or even less with more features and a better resolution screen.

Thank you for sharing your experience. There is one thing i would like to add. Surface RT is an ARM device, it has a quad core cortex a9 processor(Tegra 3). Even though both have windows installed in them you cannot run all the apps available for windows on Surface RT because of the different processor architecture. If you are looking to buy Microsoft surface don't buy surface RT. I don't know why Microsoft released it in the first place.

I think there are several compromises one has to do but it comes to individual preferences.

• One will get Corei5 but battery life is half of the Surface RT/iPad or other android tablets.
  
• Limyed number of apps for touch based input
  
• Performance of iPad or Android tabs is pretty good
