Slang controllers for the forum

Dear Moderators and forum members,

As many of us may have already observed that during the recent past, the slang/abusive content on this forum is increasing day by day, making this forum inappropriate for sober users as well as female members or visitors of this forum.

I don't blame the moderators for this as it is not an easy task to read hundreds of posts and threads daily. The option to report a post is there but may have lost its effectiveness over time.

So, I have a suggestion that some decent forum members (with good past record of clean and sober discussions / posts) should come forward or tracked by moderators to be appointed as voluntary "Slang Controllers". These members would have permissions to delete any post with abusive content. In other words, they will not be full time moderators rather only content controllers.

This suggestion can be discussed and improved further. This will certainly help improve the quality of the content of this forum.

delete option can be misused.

give report abuse option with like dislike of every post, so that not only thread but individual post can be reported and this menace can be handled effectively.

That is why I have mentioned that the users selected should have very good track record and will be mostly non controversial. Furthermore, their can be a history of the posts deleted by these controllers which can be monitored randomly by main moderators. I think that this reporting system delays the moderation process. What is the use of reporting if the mentioned post has already been read by several members?

I do not want anything to be controlled, as far as freedom of speech goes.

Those who want to have sober conversation, get their audience and those who want to engage in a pissing contest get theirs. What is wrong with that.

Bhai Sahib, even the prophets are controversial what to talk of ordinary pappu, sheeda and meeda on this forum.

These users will not be hundreds. May be an appropriate number between 5 to 10 do the job! I guess the number of moderators online at every time are not enough. Becoming insaf.pk is not right. They will only be allowed to delete posts with abusive language. And I guess there will be some impartial memebers who can help.

Moderators are busy with your reports, thats why everyone else is crying that moderators aren't able to pay attention to their reports :P

Finally, Good to see PTI supporters coming out to raise their concerns

But for whatever reason Mods have been too lienient on a few PTI thickheads
who create tens of threads every day but still moan about Noon and Others

Mods have undoubtedly soft corner for PTI
but this lieniency is actually working against PTI
Don't just think of a few who use like or dislike on every post
think of thousands who are begining to disassociate from PTI
I am a vocal one of that group....

Mods should assert a little more,
First control creation of New threads,
Place every new thread in a queue
and allow only a cretain number of threads each member.

In concept/idea it is a good suggestion but in practice it may prove equally difficult as each of 'new mods' will have their own definition of abusive until abusive is clearly and unambiguously defined which is a gigantic task looking at the creativity of Pakis to find new ways to abuse and coin even abusive words and terms.......

The problem is that the mods and admins are not as active :)
