siasat.pk has to adopt democracy

Dear siasat.pk,

Please adopt a voting style similar to www.reddit.com so that users can either 'up' or 'down' vote posts and comments. Most up voted posts and comments stay on top and down voted ones get buried deep in depths of obscurity. The readers get quality content and comments on top without having to go through biased or stupid posts. This is also particularly useful in case of 'newly' registered fanboys!

I believe if it's a hot topic it automatically comes to the top on the right hand corner.

This is a great idea, but this would fail in case of thread against Qadri. His minions have multiple accounts here, so they usually gang up in a single thread and spam their likes for their fellow minions. Only macbeth/socrates is a reasonable person who actively participates in threads which are not related to Qadri. But his pujari type minions only show up only on threads which involve Qadri.

I've been using reddit for sometime. People do try to influence post ratings but the majority wins at the end. It's about time for siasat.pk to beef up anyway. I am sure they must be closely watching traffic patterns and should introduce a policy of banning duplicate accounts as well. The forum may lose its current status if fake users start influencing it too much.

From what I've seen, there appears to be a few dedicated staff from political parties as well as 'friendly' countries masquerading as regular users.

And to address the issue of one moderator deciding which post to merge or delete. Reddit is a USER MODERATED forum.

with your logic, first few pages will go to Ptians, as they are in majority, it is difference of opinion that keeps this site more appealing but having options for top rated comments, lowest rated comments just like BBC will be a good addition.
