PTI lawmaker alleges embezzlement in Swat University project’s funds

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker Musarrat Ahmed Zeb has approached the top graft buster and filed a case regarding embezzlement of funds in a project worth Rs2.5 billion by University of Swat (UoS) officials.The complaint stated that the alleged UoS officials ignored the recommendations of the report of Special Evaluation Committee for identification of suitable land for the establishment of the varsity.
They concealed the report in minutes of the meeting from the syndicate/Senate of the university for its approval causing a loss of approximately Rs2.5 billion to the government exchequer, it added.

The federal government allocated funds to the tune of of Rs127.485 million for the construction of the university building.
As per details, a board meeting of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) was held on Friday under the chairmanship of Brig (retd) Farooq Naser Awan, director general NAB K-P, in which several complaints were processed. The board authorised inquiries in complaints and upgraded cases to investigate regarding corruption and corrupt practices.
Moreover, the NAB has also started probe into C&W Department Peshawar and Mechatec Pvt Ltd with regards to corruption and corrupt practices in installation of sub-standard ACs.
Further, it is alleged that Mechatec Pvt Ltd has provided sub-standard AC units at exorbitant rates to Cardiology Unit of Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar.

She belonged to a poor family was picked by Wallia sawat for marriage husband died when she was only 25 never married again raised children as single mother never scared of Taliban instead resisted taught poor girls of sawat embroidery and sewing so that they can make their living
Despite all this she had never thought of becoming MNA even in her dreams .
