The literal translation of Walee is ally or friend. It can refer to Allaah Himself, Satan, close relative, etc.

اللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يُخْرِجُهُم مِّنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ ۖ وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَوْلِيَاؤُهُمُ الطَّاغُوتُ يُخْرِجُونَهُم مِّنَ النُّورِ إِلَى الظُّلُمَاتِ ۗ أُولَـٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ

Yusuf Ali 257: Allah is the Protector of those who have faith: from the depths of darkness He will lead them forth into light. Of those who reject faith the patrons are the evil ones: from light they will lead them forth into the depths of darkness. They will be companions of the fire, to dwell therein (For ever). (Quran Chapter 2. Al Baqarah ayat 257)

وَلَأُضِلَّنَّهُمْ وَلَأُمَنِّيَنَّهُمْ وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ آذَانَ الْأَنْعَامِ وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلْقَ اللَّهِ ۚ وَمَن يَتَّخِذِ الشَّيْطَانَ وَلِيًّا مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ خَسِرَ خُسْرَانًا مُّبِينًا

Yusuf Ali 119: "I will mislead them, and I will create in them false desires; I will order them to slit the ears of cattle, and to deface the (fair) nature created by Allah." Whoever, forsaking Allah, takes satan for a friend, hath of a surety suffered a loss that is manifest. (Quran Chapter 4. An Nisaa ayat 119)

اور البتہ انہیں ضرور گمراہ کروں گا اور البتہ ضرور انہیں امیدیں دلاؤں گا اور البتہ ضرور انہیں حکم کروں گا کہ جانوروں کے کان چریں اور البتہ ضرور انہیں حکم دوں گا کہ جانورں کے کان چیریں اور البتہ ضرور انہیں حکم دوں گاکہ الله کی بنائی ہوئی صورتیں بدلیں اور جو شخص الله کو چھوڑ کر شیطان کو دوست بنائے گا وہ صریح نقصان میں جا پڑا

The usage which concerns us most is Awliyaa Allaah close friends of Allaah. In the Quraan Allaah has designated among mankind certain types of individuals whom He considers especially close to Himself.

أَلَا إِنَّ أَوْلِيَاءَ اللَّهِ لَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ - الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَكَانُوا يَتَّقُونَ

Yusuf Ali 62-63: Behold! verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve; Those who believe and (constantly) guard against evil;- (Quran Chapter 10. Yunus ayat 62-63)

خبردار بے شک جو الله کے دوست ہیں نہ ان پر ڈر ہے اور نہ وہ غمگین ہوں گے - جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور ڈرتے رہے

Allaah explains for us that the criterion for Walaayah (divine friendship) is Eemaan (faith) and Taqwaa (piety) and these qualities are shared by all true believers. Among the ignorant masses, the main criterion for Walaayah (Sainthood) is the performance of miracles which are commonly called Karaamaat.

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاكُم مِّن ذَكَرٍ وَأُنثَىٰ وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ شُعُوبًا وَقَبَائِلَ لِتَعَارَفُوا ۚ إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ اللَّهِ أَتْقَاكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ خَبِيرٌ

Yusuf Ali 13: O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). (Quran Chapter 49. Al Hujuraat ayat 13)

ا ے لوگو ہم نے تمہیں ایک ہی مرد اور عورت سے پیدا کیا ہے اور تمہارے خاندان اور قومیں جو بنائی ہیں تاکہ تمہیں آپس میں پہچان ہو بے شک زیادہ عزت والا تم میں سے الله کے نزدیک وہ ہے جو تم میں سے زیادہ پرہیزگار ہے بے شک الله سب کچھ جاننے والا خبردار ہے

Most people with this belief don't care about the faith and practices of the miracle performers. He can be a drunkard, womanizer, performed no prayer at all. Yet, if he did some karaamath, he is considered a Wali. Some who have been designated saints held heretical beliefs and practices, while others were known to have abandoned the religious rituals, and, yet others were even involved in licentious and vulgar behaviour. However, nowhere has Allaah made the working of miracles a stipulation for being His Walee.

Miracles are not the measure of righteousness or closeness to God, because evil Jinns too can perform miracles. We believe that Dajjal will perform miracles (So, is Dajjal a Walee?). During Pharoah's time, Magicians performed some magic and Prophet Moosa (AS) was scared. Devils can perform magic.
Why cant we designate certain pious people as Wali?

Only Allah knows what is in hearts. Man can only judge people by each other's outward deeds which may be misleading. Allaah made that abundantly clear in the following verse

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يُعْجِبُكَ قَوْلُهُ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيُشْهِدُ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا فِي قَلْبِهِ وَهُوَ أَلَدُّ الْخِصَامِ

Yusuf Ali 204: There is the type of man whose speech about this world's life May dazzle thee, and he calls Allah to witness about what is in his heart; yet is he the most contentious of enemies. (Quran Chapter 2. Al Baqarah ayat 204)

اور بعض ایسے بھی ہیں جن کی بات دنیا کی زندگی میں آپ کو بھلی معلوم ہوتی ہے اور وہ اپنی دل کی باتوں پر الله کو گواہ کرتا ہے حالانکہ وہ سخت جھگڑالو ہے

Similarly, we dont have authority to call someone a martyr (Shaheed / Shahid). Ibn Abbaas said that he was told by Umar ibn al-Khattaab that on the day of (the battle) of Khaybar, some of the Prophets companions came and said, So and so is a martyr and so and so is a martyr, but when they came to a man about whom they said, So and so is a martyr, Allaahs messenger declared, By no means! I have seen him in hell in a cloak which he took (from the spoils) dishonestly. Allaahs messenger then said, Go, Ibn al-Khattaab, and announce among the people three times that only the believers will enter paradise. [Saheeh Muslim 1/209]

The Prophet Muhammad specified among his companions (Sahaabah) some whom he gave glad tidings of paradise in this life. However, such pronouncements were based on revelation and not his own ability to judge the hearts.

I agree with you that Saudis should not obey a christian lady employed by jews. But does it mean that we should not guide our fellow Muslims to the right path, i.e., path of Quraan and Sunnah??

Before Islam, most Arab were following a distorted form of Ibrahimi religion. According to Qur'aan:

مَا كَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ يَهُودِيًّا وَلَا نَصْرَانِيًّا وَلَـٰكِن كَانَ حَنِيفًا مُّسْلِمًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ

Yusuf Ali 67: Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to Allah.s (Which is Islam), and he joined not gods with Allah.(Qur'aan 3:67)

ابراھیم نہ یہوودی تھے اور نہ نصرانی لیکن سیدھے راستے والے مسلمان تھے اور مشرکوں میں سے نہ تھے

اس شخص سے بہتر دین میں کون ہے جس نے الله کے حکم پر پیشانی رکھی اور وہ نیکی کرنے والا ہو اور ابراھیم حنیف کے دین کی پیروی کرے اور الله نے ابراھیم کوخاص دوست بنا لیا ہے

Yusuf Ali 161: Say: "Verily, my Lord hath guided me to a way that is straight,- a religion of right,- the path (trod) by Abraham the true in Faith, and he (certainly) joined not gods with Allah."(Qur'aan 6:161)

Before the emergence of Islam,the people of Mecca were the descendants of Ibrahim and Ismael. it was Ismael (AS) who first migrated to Mecca as is given in Quran when Ibrahim prays: Surah Ibrahim, (2:37)

رَّبَّنَا إِنِّي أَسْكَنتُ مِن ذُرِّيَّتِي بِوَادٍ غَيْرِ ذِي زَرْعٍ عِندَ بَيْتِكَ الْمُحَرَّمِ رَبَّنَا لِيُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ فَاجْعَلْ أَفْئِدَةً مِّنَ النَّاسِ تَهْوِي إِلَيْهِمْ وَارْزُقْهُم مِّنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَشْكُرُونَ

Yusuf Ali 37: "O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in a valley without cultivation, by Thy Sacred House; in order, O our Lord, that they may establish regular Prayer: so fill the hearts of some among men with love towards them, and feed them with fruits: so that they may give thanks.(Qur'aan 14:37)

اے رب میرے ! میں نے اپنی کچھ اولاد ایسےمیدان میں بسائی ہے جہاں کھیتی نہیں تیرے عزت والے گھر کے پاس اے رب ہمارے! تاکہ نماز کو قائم رکھیں پھرکچھ لوگو ں کے دل ان کی طرف مائل کر دے اور انہیں میووں کی روزی دے تاکہ وہ شکر کریں

It was Ismael (AS) along with his mother who were left by Ibrahim near Ka'aba as is explained by commentators of the Quran. (we also know that Zam Zam at Mecca and Safa wa Marwa are the signs of this event.) Now Ismael (AS) was surely on the religion of his father (AS) which came down to generation after generation until the time of the Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم), and it was this religion which was followed by most of the Meccans, though the shape was distorted as mentioned in Hadeeths.

Now back to your Question, Our beloved Prophet chose to preach Meccans who were followers of distorted religion of Ibrahim (AS). Pakistan has similar situation, the Muslims have been divided into various sects. Every sect believe that they are on the right path. Most of them are blind follower of ignorant Peers hence no will of learning the truth through Quraan and authentic Hadeeth.

I have strong believe that it is only Quraan and authentic Hadeeths who can unit the Muslims.

What came first ?? the egg or the chicken?? if any true Islamic revolution is possible that will be just on the foot steps of our Nabi Pak(SAW)... so the training of the team came first then the ghazwaat and finally the Ekamat a deen. so they way they say that each an eavry heart will change through TABLEGH and then sab achey ho jayeen gey tou nizam khud ba khud badal jayee ga will not be the case if the Tablegh of my prophet(saw) bought in just 313 people in 11 years of struggle but the Deen Allahey Afwaja happened only after he(saw) lift the sword and fought for it.

To understand the meaning of Verse#55 of Sura Al-Maeda we need to read this verses 51-57 of this Sura. In these verses, in view of the degenerate moral condition of the Jews and the Christians, the Believers have been warned not to make them their friends and confidants. Likewise they should be on their guard against the evil designs of the hypocrites, the disbelievers and the like and should rely on the true Believers alone. The people of the Book have, in their turn been exhorted to give up their enmity and adopt the right attitude, for they cannot get salvation without this.

Read the following verses in continuity, it would be very unfair if someone draw conclusion from these verses that it is allowed to do SHIRKIA acts around the grave of a saint such as Prostration to the grave, asking help from the grave etc.

Allah hath set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they (incur). (7) Of the people there are some who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day;" but they do not (really) believe. (8) Fain would they deceive Allah and those who believe, but they only deceive themselves, and realise (it) not! (9) In their hearts is a disease; and Allah has increased their disease: And grievous is the penalty they (incur), because they are false (to themselves). (10) When it is said to them: "Make not mischief on the earth," they say: "Why, we only Want to make peace!" (11) Of a surety, they are the ones who make mischief, but they realise (it) not. (12) When it is said to them: "Believe as the others believe:" They say: "Shall we believe as the fools believe?" Nay, of a surety they are the fools, but they do not know. (13) When they meet those who believe, they say: "We believe;" but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say: "We are really with you: We (were) only jesting."

اللہ نے ان کے دلوں اور ان کے کانوں پر مہر لگا دی ہے اور ان کی آنکھوں پر پردہ پڑ گیا ہے وہ سخت سزا کے مستحق ہیں (٧) بعض لوگ ایسے بھی ہیں جو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم اللہ پر اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان لائے ہیں، حالانکہ در حقیقت وہ مومن نہیں ہیں (٨) وہ اللہ اور ایمان لانے والوں کے ساتھ دھوکہ بازی کر رہے ہیں، مگر دراصل وہ خود اپنے آپ ہی کو دھوکے میں ڈال رہے ہیں اور انہیں اس کا شعور نہیں ہے (٩) ان کے دلوں میں ایک بیماری ہے جسے اللہ نے اور زیادہ بڑھا دیا، اور جو جھوٹ وہ بولتے ہیں، اس کی پاداش میں ان کے لیے درد ناک سزا ہے (١٠) جب کبھی ان سے کہا گیا کہ زمین پر فساد برپا نہ کرو تو انہوں نے یہی کہا کہ ہم تو اصلاح کرنے والے ہیں (١١) خبردار! حقیقت میں یہی لوگ مفسد ہیں مگر انہیں شعور نہیں ہے (١٢) اور جب ان سے کہا گیا جس طرح دوسرے لوگ ایمان لائے ہیں اسی طرح تم بھی ایمان لاؤ تو انہوں نے یہی جواب دیا "کیا ہم بیوقوفوں کی طرح ایمان لائیں؟" خبردار! حقیقت میں تو یہ خود بیوقوف ہیں، مگر یہ جانتے نہیں ہیں (١٣) جب یہ اہل ایمان سے ملتے ہیں، تو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم ایمان لائے ہیں اور جب علیحدگی میں اپنے شیطانوں سے ملتے ہیں، تو کہتے ہیں کہ اصل میں تو ہم تمہارے ساتھ ہیں اور ان لوگوں سے محض مذاق کر رہے ہیں (١٤) اللہ ان سے مذاق کر رہا ہے، وہ ان کی رسی دراز کیے جاتا ہے، اور یہ اپنی سرکشی میں اندھوں کی طرح بھٹکتے چلے جاتے ہیں (١٥) یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے ہدایت کے بدلے گمراہی خرید لی ہے، مگر یہ سودا ان کے لیے نفع بخش نہیں ہے اور یہ ہرگز صحیح راستے پر نہیں ہیں اِن کی مثال ایسی ہے جیسے ایک شخص نے آگ روشن کی اور جب اُس نے سارے ماحول کو روشن کر دیا تو اللہ نے اِن کا نور بصارت سلب کر لیا اور انہیں اس حال میں چھوڑ دیا کہ تاریکیوں میں انہیں کچھ نظر نہیں آتا (١٧) یہ بہرے ہیں، گونگے ہیں، اندھے ہیں، یہ اب نہ پلٹیں گے

ماشاءللہ جو شخص قرآن اور حدیث پیش کرے وہ پاگل!!! کیا بات ہے آپ کی!!! میرے بھائی اگر کسی نے قرآن اور حدیث سے ہٹ کر کوئی بات کی ہے تو اسکی وضاحت کریں، مگر اگر صرف اندھی تقلید پر ہی گزارا کرنا ہے تو پھر آپ کو ہر وہ شخص پاگل نظر ایگا جو آپ کے مذھب، فرقے، امام، پیر، پیشوا اور آباواجداد کے طور طریقوں کے خلاف بات کریگا​

افسوس کا مقام یہ ہے کے لوگ ناموس رسالت pbuh کے لئے تو جان دینے کے لئے تیار ہیں(جو کہ اچھی بات ہے ) مگر قول رسول pbuh، سنت pbuhرسول اور احکامات رسول pbuh پر عمل کے لئے تیار نہیں​

جب قول رسول pbuh، سنت رسول pbuh، احکام رسول pbuh کسی کے موجودہ عمل سے ٹکراتا ہے اور اسکو قرآن اور صحیح حدیث کے اختیار کی دعوت دی جاتی ہے تو لوگوں کی باتیں کچھ یوں ہوتی ہیں​

ھ"ہماری فقہ، ہمارے مسلک میں ایسا نہیں، ہمارے امام صاحب تو منع کرتے ہیں، ہم تو فلاں امام کے مقلد ہیں، تقلید ہم پر واجب ہے"ھ​

میرے بھائی واضح احکامات رسول pbuh اور واضح قرآنی آیات کہ مقابلے میں اپنے اپنے مذاہب، اماموں اور پیروں درویشوں کی اطاعت کی جاتی ہے اور جو ان خودساختہ اماموں اور مولویوں کی اندھی تقلید نہیں کرتا اور لوگوں کو اللہ اور اسکے رسول pbuhکی اطاعت کی دعوت دیتا ہے وہ گمراہ، غیر مقلد، انگریزوں کی پیداوار، پاگل، وہابی، نجدی، گستاخ رسول pbuh، اماموں کا منکر، اولیا کا منکر، شدت پسند، تنقید کرنے والا، فتنہ کرنے والا قرار پاتا ہے​

ھ! جو چاہے آپ کا حسن کرشمہ ساز کرے !ھ​

جس نے بھی اللہ کی وحی کا پرچم تھاما اسکو مختلف القاب سے نوازا گیا...لوگوں نے تو انبیاء کو بھی نہیں بخشا...آپ قرآن اور حدیث پیش کرنے والوں کو جتنا پاگل کہینگے اللہ کے ہاں اتنا ہی اجر انکا بڑھتا رہیگا​

آپ بتائیں کے قرآن اور حدیث سے ہٹ کر کیا بات کی گی ہے؟؟ اسکی نشاندہی کریں.... آپ کی فقہ اور مسلک کے خلاف اگر بات ہے تو بھائی اپنے مسلک کو چھوڑ دو زیادہ بہتر ہے قرآن اور حدیث کو مت چھوڑنا..یہی آخرت کی کامیابی کی اساس ہے​

وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ ٱلرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَيَتَّبِعۡ غَيۡرَ سَبِيلِ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ نُوَلِّهِۦ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَنُصۡلِهِۦ جَهَنَّمَ*ۖ وَسَآءَتۡ مَصِيرًا
اور جو شخص سیدھا رستہ معلوم ہونے کے بعد پیغمبر کی مخالف کرے اور مومنوں (یعنی صحابہ کرام) کے رستے کے سوا اور رستے پر چلے تو جدھر وہ چلتا ہے ہم اسے ادھر ہی چلنے دیں گے اور (قیامت کے دن) جہنم میں داخل کریں گے اور وہ بری جگہ ہے
سورہ النساء ١١٥ ​

کہ) ان پر کوئی آفت پڑ جائے یا تکلیف دینے والا عذاب نازل ہو

The quranic shirk is about accepting sovereignty of any other than Allah in the universe.

Only and only Allah has the right to rule the world by way of implementation of his rule of law through his agents. Anyone who fights against that is defined as mushrik and kaafir in context of the quran.

This is not a mazhabi definition as taken by mullahs but a deeni definition that mullahs and ruling elite want to suppress.

The whole quran is translated in context of mazhab not deen by all the mullahs since the end of islamic rule after the prophet.

They did this to justify imperialism and invented stories to legitimize it and created laws that suited kings and emperors and sultans.

Allah did not give right even to the prophets to rule their people but to serve them for sake of Allah according to law of Allah.

Mullahs give false titles to prophets so that they could justify real enslavement of people to themselves and their kings.

Many words in the quran have been mistranslated deliberately to give basis to their make beliefs. These mistranslations show many contradictions within the quran as well as between the quran and real world.

Take word shirk, it means associating right of rule with other than Allah ie attributing sovereignty to other than Allah.

The quran clearly states that those who rule by law of other than Allah are kaafir and mushrik.

This is why it is very important to see which rule of law is from Allah and which is not. This calls for proper understanding of the quran and then through proper understanding of the hadith. It is therefore wrong to try to understand the quran by hadith. Because true and false ahadith are all mixed up and they cannot be sorted out without proper understanding of the quran all by itself. This is why tafseer of the quran by the quran is the way to go.
