The fact that most Sikh militants and their exiled sympathisers are based in Canada has the Indian Government worried.

The Indian security establishment belives there are fresh moves to revive the Khalistan movment from abroad. Sikh militant groups such as the Khalistan Commano Force, Khalistan Zindabad Force and the Babbar Khalsa International are apparently planning a comback, aided by Pakistani spy agency ISI. To add to Indian government's worries a large number of young Sikhs abroad are suspected to have been indoctrinated.

Home secretary Midhukar Gupta chaired a meeting earlier this week on this issue. The special secretary, Vivek Katju, is likely to visit Canada on June 18 for talks.

This follows the Indian government's perception that the US pressure on Islamabad to act against home-grown terror has made them try to revitalise Khalistani militants after it found its hands tied in Kashmir.

Although there are hardly any signs of renewed Khalistani activity or local support for militancy in Punjab, but there has been a widespread support for the so called Sikh cause amongst a section of diaspora.

This was evident when the 25th anniversary of Operation Blue Star was observed in various cities in Canada and Europe on June 6. During the operation in June 1984 the Indian army raided Shikh's holiest shrine Golden Temple in Indian Punjab's city of Amritsar to free it of militants led by Jaranail Singh Bhindhranwale.

Had treason not been committed by handing over sikh lists to Rajev Gandhi by Hazrat Benazir Rehmatullah ilaehe, Khalistan movement would by now had seen its logical end. It was for a very frivilous favour that this woman whom the lot of us r ulogizing did it. Only with a promise of withdrawl from Siachen so that political mileage at home could be taken of?! Was this the act of a visionary or the one devoid of none. And on the other hand Raajev showed his inability on return from Pakistan's visit. The problem is that we r forbidden to bad mouth the dead. Again this Afghanistan stuff would have seen a different turn had the very democratic giant Mr Jonejo not signed the Ganeva accord without any agreement of an interim government by the other side. This was against the strong advice/direction of Gen Zia. And because of this monumental blunder the great democrat was removed- even though he gave a different version of removal to cover his foolishness. Because of this we see in Afghanistan as we see today. Another historical myth. The truth is that it was Ayub Khan who started the nuclear programme. Kannup, Kahuta project(innaugrated 1963), Suparco who started? I remember AYUB KHAN stating that we r five years behind Bhaba(of India)and we have to catch up. Plutonium reprocessing plant was on offer to Ayub Khan - which was to provide uranium enrichment for the nuclear weapons- but on the advice of his finance minister was temperorily put on the hold. What happened thereafter? During the Awami fellow Hazrat Bhutto ilehsalam Suparco remained shut continously for seven years- which had been made by Ayub Khan to further ur space programme and delivery system. As to the cliche " we will eat grass and make bomb" makes no sense otherwise - but does make a lot of sense for the people who understand as to why it was done. This will be discussed later. Tail piece- had we not tested our nuclear stuff in 1998- believe me it would by now had only its traces left. The only worthwhile thing by Nawaz Sharif apart from amassing wealth.

If the Army has now - after being fed up with being pungg'ad by India in Baluchistan and she sending trained insurgents in the form of Talibans- have decided to support the Khalistan movement then I think they must do it. We have to stand up and fight for ourselves. NO one will do it for u.

As a wind up to inform our worthy readers- our highly qualified President has started playing Sindh card through Sindhi TV channels - despite that he knows he is despised by the sindhis also - and with a high degree of passion.

Another great achievement by AYUB KHAN was his financial plan for Pakistan, I remember reading an article some years back in which it was stated that the best financial stability was in Ayub khan era because the economy was booming and at that time our financial plan was bought by france and south korea because it was considered the best recovery plan for any nation and the worst was in benazir era as I remember it was around -3.

I will try to find to find the article and than post here, right now we going throught the worst times of pakistan history, and I mean economy wise.
