Pakistan real estate market has been activity level low about 15 percent since January 2018. To bring order in Pakistan’s real estate sector the Budget of 2018-19 was presented in April included several measures, the sector which is a parking platform of ill-gotten money and promoting informal economy. Meanwhile, it was also expected that the market is heading toward a significant shakeup and positive alternation regarding the election of the new Government.

But the statements are collapsed in according to the law of supplier and demand, this law is about the supply of resource and demand for the resource. The property market is getting low to low. Due to the intense investment of black money in the property market, market status got higher enough, which is away from the approach of a person belonging to middle-class or a level upper than lower class. But the miss-adjustment of money is revealed now. But still these measures are not enough to reenergize the property market, it will take a long time.

To solve these issues government of Pakistan announced that the person who makes the investment in the real estate market more than 50 Lakhs, have to pay the tax as the investment increases. In both commercial and residential market, it will make different impacts regarding the coming year:

Apki property investment ne saree economy ka bera gharaq kar dia hai. Now investment must move to business to generate economic activity, raise exports and create employment and more tax collection.

Pakistan property prices are even higher than a modern city like Istanbul. It is a curse for our economy.

No one can build a house today. No one can start a small business because rents are so high. Small shops are closing all over big cities because of skyrocketing rents and property prices.

We must crackdown more on property sector. Remove all the black money and tax is on higher rates. Land mafia pay zero tax and rake billions from their ponzi-schemes.

Sara do number maal real estate mein hei.You needs to have money circulated for good economy.


Ahad Cheema is a great example. As a government officer he looted so much and made over 50 plots in prime urban societies while regular Pakistan can't even build 5 marla house for his kids with halal income.

In my opinion, I think even Indian RAW and Aghan NDS probably has investments in plots inside Pakistan. It's very easy way to hide money and then use it to conduct terrorism inside Pakistan anytime through activating their sleeper cells.

We should force all societies & transfer authorities to make public all buyer/seller information like USA. In US each and every property transaction is public information accessible by any citizen anytime.
