I think its not Hoodbhoy's fault if he think like this.. Its our fault... who do not live their lives according to Quran and Sharia.. We have failed to represent the the magnificance of Islamic life and laws to non-muslims. Absuign would not change his thinking. Islam is a Deen of practice - How many of us are living a life as per Quran and sunnah. Remember, Allah SWT might take us to task on this one.. When a non muslim was ignorant of his knowledge about my Deen and Prophet what did you do. What are we going to say.. We abused him to the fullest ???? Just answer this with a pure heart. Salam.
I see this from other perspective.. I dont agree on Hood bhai as he belongs to secular wing & doesnot believe on religion.
My point is that to govern a country according to ISLAM we need QURAN. To understand & ellaborate it we need SAHIH HADITH & SHARIA...
On the other hand i have seen good program from DAWN TV, it raised question that LETS ASSUME EVERY CITIZEN OF PAKISTAN WANT TO HAVE SHARIA LAW IN PAKISTAN..
Has any one have mapped normal daily life laws or even raw form of rules to govern a country.
They asked TANZEEM ISLAMI LEADER (Late Dr ISRAR son) about it, he accepts that he doesnot have any. His argument was lets pass that ruling then we will do work on it as time pass... (BTW tanzeem islami bear the flag of implementing sharia law).. I may be wrong but as all political parties who want to run for premiership or government in elections, they even dont have DUMMY BUDGET or PERSON FOR DIFFERENT IMPORTANT MINISTRIES of a country, same with this SHARIA LAW & those jammats who raise voice for it..

یہ تو اُن لوگوں کو معلوم ھو جنہوں نے قرآن کو پڑھا اور سمجھا ھو۔

I thought this man is an intellectual but he does not know the ABC of the intellect. By the way, Quran is not written in the form of the present day constitution but describes a set of fundamental principles for human beings and covers all aspects of life ranging from personal, marital to international relation. So it is clear that this man has no idea what Quran is talking about.
One thing more, in any philosophical writings, they are the principles and reasonings which guide the thinking process.

The problem is people like Hoodbhoy thinks that they got Phd from MIT and they understand everything. I bet he never read QURAN.....once he read carefully and spend time in understanding which is not difficult he will know.........
Irony is in the past most of his knowledge was based on sitting on QAU Huts, where he used to sit during lunch and gather most of the information from students............who usually brought and discuss political personal issues.
This is irony that people like hoodbhoy are their get fame in Pakistan but they do not like Pakistan..........if he do not like Quaid--e-Azam's Pakistan why he spent all his life there. He liked west too much why not go stay in west.................
