Is there any use of this information?
If we do not read what is inside all these , what is the use of knowing all this? Only for general knowledge may be... I still remember our Islamic studies subject was nothing but about this useless general information or some stories from our gorgeous history.... that s it... Instead of encouraging students and our newer generations for thinking rationally and analyzing the Quran, raising questions and finding their answers from Quran, we are just stuffing their brains with this sort of information..... Otherwise,I just saw a thread the other day that Tony Blair reads Quran everyday to seek something out of it.....

What difference it should have been made with different digits.
The dire need is the applicability of Quran rather the cosmetic type
of information being circulated. I can give you two examples:
Quran says that:
a) Give one share to girls and two share to sons, that is principle.
but if Muslims just do not apply this and devour the total share leaving
the girls with nothing but forcing them to believe that "we married
you" etc.
b) Do justice whether it may be the matter of poor or rich,
your parents or those who are not your relative etc. but if
society does not do that. so what different it will make if the words
are in x,y,z quantity.
Angels will not descend to put these type of principles into
the heart and minds of people. It is APPLICABILITY which matters.
