Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is all set to further intensify the pressure on the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) in the form of an anti-corruption awareness campaign, which they will start from next week, Pakistan Today has learnt reliably.
Sources privy to the development told your correspondent that PTI leadership is determined to take the Panama issue to its logical conclusion, as the party would resort to taking to the streets to make things tougher for the ruling junta.
A party leadership meeting was held at Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s residence at Bani Gala, which was attended by the party leadership and discussed situation mainly arising out of the last day proceeding of Panama case.
Sources said that PTI leadership is finalizing the schedule of public awareness campaign against the rampant corruption in the country.
In this regard, Chairman PTI would address at least three public gatherings during the month of December in major cities of the country, they added.
They said that since the apex court adjourned hearing of the Panama case till the first week of January, so the party leadership decided to resort to the masses.
Sources said that Imran Khan would address public gatherings in Peshawar and Rawalpindi and the name of a third city was yet to be finalized. Moreover, even the schedule of the public meetings has not been finalized as yet and the local leadership of the respective cities would soon announce the dates.
