Halqa bandi is a good thing but what is the objective. If it is done because population of a constituency has increased then it's a good reason but if it is done that certain ethnicity cannot win a seat then there is something wrong with PkRevolution. It should rather be my-ethnicity-first-Revolution.

Why not have this kind of halqa bandi all over Pakistan where minorities are not winning election. If objective is to defeat MQM with halqa bandi then why not impose martial law in Karachi only and have Zulfiqar mirza as the administrator.

If you read previous posts i thanked Geog for his post because of his suggestion that such efforts should be made every where in Pakistan.

PKrevolution raises always voice for Pakistan. If you belive that MQM's system is correct then do it. I will not stop my voice against unjustice.

You're rite, it is'nt about ethnicity, its about what kind of future awaits us. Like the one in the rest of province, or some development. MQM does'nt represent one basic group the way Peoples PArty represents only feudals or the PMLN or other muslim leaguis representing he interests of bureaucrats and mill owners. MQM has Pakhtoons as well as Sindhis, the third party politics very much over as we have slipped back into the 90s with supposedly 2 entities[PPP and PML-N] who share the same interests safeguarding the plutocracy[rich man or institutions' interest], its pretty much over for PTI and other 3rd way parties, if PPP rearranges the halqas and wins from these areas, then first of all the educated lot that hasremained here going thru problems but still trying to "work"in these trying conditions, will leave, muhajir, non-muhajir[Punjabi, Hindko speaking] aside. PPP will do what US wants from them taking Pakistan towards complete breakdown and destruction, speedy path towards turning Pakistan into another Somalia, replacing meritocracy with biasocracy rewarding people for how close they are to the dear leader Zardari like North Korea,with widespread corruption[putting 10 people on one govt. post and encouragement of bribes or buying degrees from different universities], mortgaging Pakistan to intl. agencies and countries like US and India, taking market-interest loans from them to keep their corruption running, blaming others' for their own actions', breeding ethnic hatred to keep their support base, after seeing no hope from investment, and massive shutdown in industry they'll go after savings'scheme of the seniors', this total breakdown will ensure conducive conditions for a civil war within the communities that remain, law and order situation has already worsened. Probably PPP rule and halqabandi will extend newfound freedoms, like freedom to loot, freedom to rape,etc.

I just feel that PkRevolution will only be successful once you consider a Jiye Sindh, PPP, ANP, MQM supporter a PAKISTANI first else we will have these debates forever and with prejudices against a community we can only achieve saqoot e Dhaka and not revolution in Pakistan.

Halqabandi, redistricting won't help the cause of protecting minority from majority[like the US constitution] as it does'nt exist in Pakistani constitution even if it did I doubt it would get implemented, things that help the aam aadmi have never gotten implemented in the last 60+years. Going by Pakistani institutions', Pakistan needs a strongman, like a Gen. Zia, administrator more than an ideologue who keeps the economy running and tries to push the Pak youth towards forced education to cure this biradari/caste, ethnic politic.
The other alternative but non-implementable how these powers[PPP and PML-N] unite and lobby against them to safeguard theirs' and their kinds' interests. That is a metro policy, extending powers' to the local bodies of all Pak urban centres for speedy development[like China], with a strong metropolitan authority, kinda doing what these ruling thugs are doing, safeguard the interests' of PAk cities' having more say in development projects and living contidions, double the amount to direct taxes and try to push down the amount of indirect taxes, people will give more bhatta[taxes] to the corrupt feudals in the centre and province to keep them away from running their govt. , if people will be fecilitated, see their money being well spent and assured they will give taxes, like Mustafa Kamal put an infrastructure direct tax that people paid and were more upbeat giving suggestions of a Mass Rapid Transit system all of which is now looks like a distant dream, event the green CNG buses that MK introduced are now restricted to few areas of Karachi with transport mafia getting the major chunk of the pie[thanx to PPP transport min. Jadoon] blackmailing commuters with fare hikes every week

I used to live in Area in karachi which was not Muhajir area also neighbouring areas were non Mahajirs. You know what instead of making one HALQA of these non Muhajir areas they (The secret team) have divided thos NON Muhajir areas and affiliated with Muhajir majority areas in their Halqa.

For example:

A is Muhajir majority area
B is Muhajir majority area
C is area where ethincity lives.

What they did in their current Halqabandi:

They have divided C in 2 and affiliated one part in A and other in B. So C voice is disappear for ever.

Do you really think issues faced by muhajir and non muhajir in Karachi are any different?? DO you think issues faced by Pathans and Muhajirs in Orangi are different? Or issues faced by any community living in Karachi are any different?

When MQM raises its voice for Karachi, it raises it for all communities based in Karachi, all ethnicities, all nationalities

Now to your question, MQM has 2 Sindhi MPAs and 1 MNA, as well as a Baloch MPA from Lyari. The areas MPA is supposed to raise voice for all people living his constituency regardless of ethnicity. The development work done in Mustufa Kamals time benefited all people living in Karachi regardless of ethnicity


Maybe you should stop looking at Karachi through your ethnic prism. You will live longer. Honest advise.

What I was saying was people like you refuse to accept MQM when we vote for it, if you did consider Karachi your city and its people as your people you would accept our decision as a decision of the majority and our choice as who we choose to represent ourselves.

I am ready to vote you and make you my leader if you promise to unite all Pakistanis without diferentiating Pathan punjabi Sindhi balochi muhajir seraiki etc. which almost every party claims but the only party that we hate so much i.e. PPP represent every ethnicity.

My intention before starting this thread was not to differenciate bw. different pakistani ethnics. Some misunderstood me.

It is every where in the world people raise voice for their rights. It should not be banned. I never said that mqm should not be in politics. They should play positive and healthy role in Pakistan's politics.

Today we should come forward and say if something is wrong in loud voice. In my thread starting post i wrote it is my personal opinion that new Halqabandi should take place. If MQM has majority in karachi as they claim tthen also after new Halqabandi they will winn. Then atleast they will celebrate Ikhlaqi Fatah also.

I am aware of current Halqabandi which is problematic and this should be resolved.

I add in my post:

New Halqa Bandi should take place everywhere in Pakistan. Started from Karachi, Lahore, Hyderabad, Multan, Peshawer, and all over pakistan considereing ethnicity's rights.
