Finally a sane voice from Maalik about the difference between a military dictator and elected government.
Klasra sahib is always trying to drag Army into any and every matter, his argument always is "such and such happened in the past so why was it not raised then and now when the PM is doing such and such we are raising the issue" I fail to understand his motive other than his KIR with the Army.
At one end he is comparing the DEMOCRACY with military rulers and that is inherently flawed.
He is confused about many issues. Who soever has the power is incompetent if he/ she can not exercise the powers according to the constitution for the benefit of the country and nation.
With due respect I have heard him and read his many articles and always feel disappointed and get a bad taste because they are so biased in one direction. I never feel even a slight improvement in my knowledge or approach to the issue.

Klasra is definitely not totally independent in his views, in my humble opinion.

Why is Klasra defending the rights of these corrupt leaders instead of fighting for the nation and it's people.

Same PM also appionted Adnan Khawaja as a head of OGDC. Rauf Lafafa has no concept of management or leadership. Even in USA, civilains do not interefere in promotions or postings other than 4 star officiers.

The problem in pakistan is that institutions and people dont know their boundaries - in fact they love to encroach in other spheres of responsibilities.

You are right that in the military affairs the the military leadership should have authority of appointments. Then on the other hand in a democracy the owner of policies governing all spheres - where it should be autonomous in implementing policies. Wherein Pakistan we find that the military interferes in all aspects of governance - heck! we had a wing in ISI (inter SERVICES intelligence) which interfered in politics blatantly and in fact bought politicians to further their point of view and they pick favorites in the race and made sure that they won!

So it works both ways and what we need is that the institutions are strong and independent and we have the highest order of accountability and if anyone crosses the limits or breaks the rules or the law they are held accountable whether its the civilian leadership or the military one.

I dont care at this time if zardari is convicted - all i care about is that the $60 million of pakistan's people's money should be brought back from the swiss government and if we can't then we make sure that that money goes to charity and not handed back to the corrupt zardari and his cronies.

It will only happen when we politicians who have vision and capacity to make policy. There is no vetting process present in Pakistan: In USA, primaries are held for even election of a county board office.
