Pentagons Reveals their most Human like Robot

Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, or DARPA, has released video footage of a project thats been long in the works and really starting to now take shape. PETMAN, for short is the subject of the latest clip, and very well could be all it takes to scare off any insurgents once its ready for the battlefield.

Built by robotics design company Boston Dynamics for the Department of Defense's Advanced Research Project Agency (DARPA), PETMAN has shown in previous videos that it is able to climb stairs. But this time, the robot marches, squats, twists its torso, and looks around -- all as part of an effort to test the clothing's ability to keep out chemical agents.

The robot is doing what we call as dynamic walking.

We as humans learn to walk and we do not stress our brain to balance our body while we walk. For robots this dynamic walking is biggest achievement and can be compared to an adult wearing skates for the first time. They fall every time they move forward. Walking on a treadmill and balancing is a giant step of science.

Dr. Ken ford approached us to participate with his team in Darpa challenge. Politics putting us behind but may be we get chance to have PETMAN.
