I wish & hope that one day we will start making such trains in Pakistan. We already have a very big locomotive factory in Risalpur, which can be used to manufacture these trains. We should talk to the Chinese about transfer of technology in this sector

Even Railway had good setip in Lahore and Rawalpindi carriage factories but they are getting obsolete, Risalpur is relatively new.

The factory was established in Risalpur in 1993 at a total cost of ₨2284 million(US$22 million).

According to a report for 2014-2015, a total of 1052 work orders have been completed for Pakistan Railways, amounting to ₨503.256 million (US$4.8 million). Work orders completed for private sector are 34 in number, amounting to ₨55.875 million(US$530,000) and work orders completed for major repairs of DE locomotives are 138 number amounting to ₨268.660 million(US$2.5 million).
