Business Council talking to Wang Xiaoguang Deputy Director of Sichuan Bureau of Expo Affairs Chingdu and Chinese delegation at Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) said Pakistan and China enjoy a commercial relationship with the volume of trade standing at $12 billion.
He informed Pakistan-China trade increased by 17.6 percent to a total of $12.4 billion in 2012. Pakistan s exports to China increased by 48.2 percent to $3.14 billion. Imports from China increased by 9.9 percent to $9.2 billion. The two-way trade in 2011 was $10.6 billion. China has helped the business community of Pakistan by providing maximum facilitation to FPCCIs participation in various events, such as Kunming and Chengdu Fairs, as well as helping us establish two FPCCI international offices in the cities of Chengdu and Kunming and a display centre in Kunming.
Chinese delegation is visiting Pakistan to introduce 14th Western China International Fair (WCIF), which will be held on October 23-27 2013. WCIF is an opportunities for Pakistani exporters to introduce their products. Wang Xiaoguang said Chinese people like Pakistani very much and we wanted to achieve good results of our historic friendship. staff report
