PTCL has presented two new devices in it EVO family now calling it the EVO Cloud. Available in two designs of ZTE and Huawei, they are stated to be Pakistan’s first 3G Wi-Fi hotspots offering EVO 3.1 Mbps speed with EVO Wi-Fi Cloud & Rev B speeds of up to 9.3Mbps with Nitro cloud on the Go.

The ZTE devices can link up to 5 Wi-Fi devices at the same time and can also be used as an external charger for charging of other devices like mobile phones etc. and its designed in battery continues 12 hours. Huawei clouds, however, link up to 8 Wi-Fi devices at the same time with an internal battery timing of 9 hours. Both these devices are lightweight and perfect for on the go connectivity.
PTCL provides speeds of up to 9.3 Mbps in more than 200 cities across the country with Nitro Cloud and un-interrupted wandering in more than 250 cities at 3.1 Mbps speeds with EVO Wi-Fi cloud.

Nice marketing promo. In Pakistan 'deceptive' advertising is a way of 'life'. I will NOT talk where & who told me what here I will speak firsthand of myself. I use Evo Cloud 3.1 since Aug, 2011 the speed that is being advertised is totally bogus, the downloading speed you get is not even to close what is promised at time of purchase. At the very start they tell that 'don't' expect 3.1Mbps and whatever they say that you'll get a minimum of X speed but you will NOT get that and whatever speed you get is never 'steady' speed. The speed constantly fluctuates between low and high which is not close to what was 'promised' to you at the time of purchase. One thing for sure PTCL is somewhat better than others and it should be that way. The company that sells 'bandwidth' to other Internet providers must have better speed than others. But you will 'never' get the speed you are promised and unfortunately in Pakistan there is really nothing you can do about it.

No kidding Sherlock! I do not know about UK but in the USA you can always take any company to courts for deceptive advertisement and not only that then there are 'consumer' watchdogs which also pursue issue for the benefit of consumers.

Same here.
But rules say if u can provide 10-20 percent customers with a speed you can advertise it.
That means when they advertise 20mb unlimited net. You might not b so lucky to get it.
And don't forget the small print. (speed might b affected in peak hours)

I have 20mb unlimited at home. Normally i get about 15mb. And in peak times around 8-10.
Still not bad.

My dear brother from another mother how naive you are. In Pakistan things are different there's no check & balance. Here might is right and who you know. No doubt there are deceptive people & businesses in every community but here it's something else. Even 'life-saving' drugs are found to be 'compromised', take the example of 'heart' medicine sold in Punjab in 2012 in the government-run hospitals 200+ people died from those 'fake' meds, to this day no one has been apprehended & punished. Take the example of 'cough' syrup, I mean a 'freaking' cough syrup, hundreds died anyone held responsible? not in Pakistan. Sharif's don't even trust their personally-run hospitals, every time even for something like a headache they run to London, UK to have it checked. You get at least 50% of what is promised, here we don't even get "one-third" of what is promised forget about what is 'advertised'. Anyway thanks a bunch exchanging 'views' with you, big guy!

Just been in Pakistan for 2 months.
Some very basic things are lacking there.
This happens when we chose wrong people to rule us.
