The post I posted was about Mustafa Kamal, not because he was the Nazim Of Karachi. Because, he belongs to MQM. Which is not a good news for hatters.
As far as other persons are concerned, I wouldn't care, even, if all the selected candidates are belong to Karachi.

Regarding your comments, I would like to correct that all YGL selected names (from each country) are written in alphabetic order not in the ranking order, so no body mentioned on YGL website that Mustafa Kamal is at third number. Yes, he is the only mayor selected from Pakistan since 1947 for this award!
Number two, you can nominate anyone on their website only few are shortlisted for Peer-reviewed selection, and committee selects few out of many shortlisted based on their achievements.
So It is our right to appreciate one who work for the nationals of Pakistan and better to accept the reality, exactly, instead of just criticism.
Yes, We should positively criticize if one is involved in corruption, either Mustafa Kamal or anyone else. But should encourage good work!
The billion of rupees of hard working peoples money they lavishly spent on the so-called mega projects which were carried out to benefit the privileged classes.
The Nazim allocated these projects without proper tendering and the quality of work we know. Everyone including the Peer of London get his big shares from it.
They never carried out any study to determine the real cause of traffic congestion or the transportation issues, but advocated un-necessary bridges and so-called signal free corridors by wasting billions of the poor nation and getting a big share in kick backs. They never went for the environmental assessment for these projects.
All these bridges they constructed are only facilities 5 % peoples who own cars but they never think or spent any money on the public transportation system. The traffic congestion issues were only resolved by the modern world by establishing an efficient public transportation system which serves to majority of the population.
Another fraud and destroying the environment by The MQM with celebration of Nazim is the illegal allotment of the parks and getting a big money. In this way they did not only destroyed the environment but the main cause of the present day heat waves and increase in the temperature of Karachi.

Theonly priviliged classes who own cars are benefitted from these developments. They wasted the national wealth to provide the luxerious to a small segments of the society. while, the majority of the peoples who don't have cars still deprived from an efficent public transit system. Actually the "urban Elite" never think about these loor and poor class of peoples, who are about 85% of the Karachi andother parts whoare living in miserable conditions in Kutchi Abadies.

Karachi Dec 07: City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal paid a visit to Darul Uloom Korangi yesterday on the invitation of Maulana Mufti Rafi Usmani and Maulana Mufti Taqi Usmani. On his arrival at the Darul Uloom, Mufti Rafi Usmani and Mufti Taqi Usmani welcomed him and paid him tribute for exemplary development works that have been performed by the city government during last four years in Karachi. They specially cited the example of completion of Malir River Bridge which according to them has provided great travel convenience to local people including the business community and the students of Darul Uloom Korangi. They also thanked City Nazim for solving the water and sewerage problems of the area.
Nazim Karachi on this occasion said that the religious leaders have served remarkably for Islam and Pakistan. He also stressed the need for solidarity among the ulemas of various masaliks. The city nazim also went to different faculties at the Darul Uloom and met with the students and teachers

Daily in Karachi, thousands of people save there time, money, by using flyovers, under bypasses, good wide roads, signal free corridors. Either, they are on the Luxury vehicles, motor bikes, buses, vans, rickshaws. And, not only MQM supporters can enjoy these developments. People from different cast, creed, religion daily enjoy development bestow.

Although, CNG buses are not the solution. It is just the part of the solution. Karachi need mass transit system. Which is an expensive affair. All the mass transit system of the world made with the help of FEDERAL GOVT. Even in NEW YORK, LONDON, SINGAPORE, etc. feasibility report has been made on that. It is up to federal govt.

The land which was selling by CDGK is not the land of RAIN FOREST, due to which Karachi is facing raise in temperature. All the world facing this problem.
What they have done an efficent Transi system. Nothing. The majority still suffer in the same manner after wasting billions of national wealth. they never cared about the real poor or lower class and every one when they are leaving they start to talk about Transit system. Same is the case of MQM / MK when they left after spending billions with a huge kicksback they mention only transit system.
