He was 100% sure about this:

- He will win PA seat in Punjab and number game would be such that he would be a "consensus" candidate after getting support of independents, forward block in PMLN and PPP (he was sure PPP would have around 25-30 MPA's block).

His whole scheme was to carve out a govt for himself out of no where and play on three sides (PPP, PMLN, PTI) and become the most important person in the politics of Pakistan and then rise above from there.

He could not believe he got defeated by Sh Salman :)

Speaker can be president during laters absence but you don't need another PM during his absence from country. What could be a possibility that if by design IK being disqualified SMQ can replace him as PM on the basis that he is vice chairman of PTI

Na SMQ is a bit selfish but he is not such a bad person. He is a clean politician and has stood side by side with Imran Khan in every challenge. He will never back stab IK.
