An evening was celebrated with eminent columnist and scholar Hassan Nisar on behalf of the Founder and Leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr Altaf Hussain. Deputy Convener of the Co-ordination Committee Dr Farooq Sattar presented a shield to Mr Hassan Nisar from Mr Altaf Hussain. Members of the MQM Coordination Committee and senators, members of the assemblies a large number of people from different walks of life were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Hassan Nisar said that the MQM is the last hope as all other political parties have failed. He said that when he started writing in favour of the MQM, extreme pressure was brought to bear upon him from his readers. He said that he has found in the MQM what he had dreamt of.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Farooq Sattar said that Mr Hassan Nisar is our ideological brother and the ideological relation is the strongest of them all. He said that Hassan Nisar is a name but it is transforming fast into an institution.
He said that the MQM wants to bring a peaceful revolution in the country through ballot and if the landlords and capitalists forces in the country tried to stop its progress then a revolution like Egypt and Tunis may seize the country.
Speaking on the occasion renowned columnist Dr Ajmal Niazi said that Mr Altaf Hussain has created an environment in which we see respect for everyone. He said that he had no intentions of coming into politics but if he ever did, he would join hands with Mr Altaf Hussain
